Trains 63 & 64, Niagara Rainbow

The Niagara Rainbow ran between Detroit and New York City, via Buffalo and the Water-Level Route, from October 31, 1974 to January 31, 1979. It was named Empire State Express until April 25, 1976.

 

Until October 29, 1978, the train ran via Fort Erie, but on that date, it started running via Niagara Falls.

Niagara Falls to Carroll Street (Buffalo)

Carroll Street (Buffalo) to Chili Junction

Chili Junction to Fairport (Rochester)

Fairport to Syracuse

Syracuse to Hoffmans

Hoffmans to Albany-Rennselaer

Albany-Rennselaer to Poughkeepsie

Spuyton-Duyvil to Poughkeepsie

New York City (Penn Station) to Spuyton-Duyvil
