From an erstwhile connector from the main PRR east-west line that once trailed in from the southeast at the crossovers (MP 704.4, 25 mph on the crossovers), junction with a line into Columbus heading south-southwest and former flat crossing with the erstwhile former Conrail (former PRR) line northeast to Akron, at CW Tower (MP 704.6/1.1), where Yard Limits end, the line continues on former PRR right-of-way, Two Main Tracks, Traffic Control, maximum speed 60 mph for intermodal trains and 50 mph for freight trains, but local restriction 25 mph, turning north, alongside the former Conrail (former Big Four) Columbus Line, past Fields (MP 2.1), Eleventh Avenue Overhead (MP 2.3), where there is a bridge carrying Eleventh Avenue and full line speeds prevail, a 40 mph speed restriction on the curve from MP 2.75 to MP 3.0, and detectors at "Columbus" (MP 4.4)
There is a 50 mph speed restriction on the curve from MP 8.0 to MP 9.5, as the line turns north-northwest for a flat crossing with the former CR Columbus Line at Worthington (MP 8.6), and then back to north, along the west side of that line, past the start of single track (45 mph on the turnout), TC, at Powell Road (MP 13.6), Orange, a spur at Lewis Center (MP 16.3), and Gregory, turning north-northwest and then north again, bridging above the former CR loop through Delaware, passing Delaware (MP 23.4), bridging above the former CR loop through Delaware again, past a detector at Delaware (MP 25.7) and the resumption of 2MT (45 mph on the turnout) at MP 26 (MP 26.0), with a 50 mph speed restriction on Track 1.
The line turns northwest and then north again, past the start of single track again (45 mph on the turnout) at Troyton (MP 31.2), a spur at Popcorn Siding (MP 31.4), Norton, and a 30-car spur at Waldo (MP 36.0), turning just west of due north, past Lynn, the resumption of 2MT (35 mph on the turnout) at South Marion (MP 43.0), a 35 mph speed restriction from MP 43.0 to MP 44.0, a spur at Blanks Agra Service (MP 43.3), a spur at Simm's Junk Yard (MP 43.4), and a spur at Baldauf Lumber (MP 43.8), turning north again with the former Hocking Valley/C&O Toledo line just to the west, past a 30 mph speed restriction from MP 44.0 to MP 46.0, a spur on the east side at Marion Steel (MP 44.2), a spur on the west side at CSXT Transfer (MP 44.7), the Marion House Track (MP 44.9), and the flat crossing with the former CR Indianapolis Line (once New York Central and Erie) at Marion (MP 45.2), where there is a northeast quadrant connector.
There is a yard on the east side of the line, and a spur at Marion Steel Scrap Yard (MP 45.5), before the line turns north-northeast, with a 40 mph speed restriction on the curve from MP 46.0 to MP 46.4, after which full line speeds prevail, past industrial tracks trailing in on the east side, the start of single track (45 mph on the turnout) at Harvey (MP 51.2), Hoover, a detector at "Tobias" (MP 53.3), a spur at Monnette Elevator (MP 55.8), a detector at MP 56.0, Monnette, a 35 mph speed restriction on the curves between MP 62.8 and MP 63.0, through a flat crossing and junction/crossing (35 mph on the crossings) with the former CR (PRR Chicago main line and a former Toledo & Ohio Central spur) at Colsan (MP 62.9).
The line turns curvily just east of due north, past a spur at Crawford County Farm Bureau (MP 63.9), a 50 mph speed restriction on the curve from MP 64.2 to MP 64.5, the 13,203 ft. siding (25 mph on the siding) and 60-car spur at Benson (MP 66.0), a 50 mph speed restriction on the curve from MP 66.7 to MP 67.0, Brandywine, a 50 mph speed restriction on the curve from MP 67.9 to MP 68.3, a detector at "Ridgeton" (MP 69.9), Ridgeton, Fauser, a 50 mph speed restriction on the curve from MP 73.2 to MP 73.5, the flat crossing and connection (10 mph on the connector) with the Wheeling & Lake Erie at Chatfield (MP 73.7), where 2MT resume (40 mph on the turnout, 50 mph on Track 1), and Carrothers, where an erstwhile former PRR line once crossed on the flat.
Single track starts (45 mph on the turnout) at North Carrothers (MP 78.1), past a 50 mph speed restriction on the curve from MP 81.5 to MP 81.7, a spur at Attica Lumber (MP 81.6), a spur at Attica Elevator (MP 81.6), and Attica, and the flat crossing (40 mph on the crossing) with the CSX (former B&O Chicago main line) at Attica Junction (MP83.1), turning north past a detector at "Attica" (MP 84.9), Omer, the 10,029 ft. siding (25 mph on the siding) at Frank (MP 90.3), and a spur at Horns Crop Service (MP 90.4), and then north-northeast, past the 8,035 ft. siding (25 mph on the siding) at Flat Rock (MP 95.6), where a connector to the NS Fostoria District west turns away (10 mph on the connector), Southwest Street (MP 95.8), where the NS Fostoria District trails in from the west, a bridge over a former New York Central line and the current NS Toledo District, the connection east to the Bellevue Yard and the NS Fostoria District at Bellevue (MP 96.0), and the connection to the NS Toledo District, trailing in on the west side at MP 96.1.
