Lawrence to Haverhill

From the junction at CPF-AS (MP 285.37/25.63), where the branch to Salem, NH, continues north, the main line turns east (with extra track on the east side turning east, also), Two Main Tracks, CTC, with a speed restriction to 35 mph as far as overhead bridge 26.34, north of Lawrence, past dual through-truss road bridges overhead, a through girder bridge over a street, and a street alongside to the east, to the siding and MBTA passenger station, with center island platform with umbrella shed between the tracks, and an east-side low-level platform further north, at Lawrence (MP 284.96/26.04), crossovers at CPF-FR, and a road bridge overhead at MP 284.66/26.34, where the speed restriction rises to 40 mph.

There is a grade crossing, an angled grade crossing, a grade crossing, a turn to the northeast, signals and crossovers at North Andover (MP 283.66/27.34), where an erstwhile line from Danvers Junction once trailed in from the southeast, a street alongside to the east, a large pond on the east side, a grade crossing at Main Street (MP 27.50), where the speed restrictions end in favor of full line speeds of 40 mph for freights and 50 mph (before the upgrade) for passenger trains, rail-served grain silos on the east side, a grade crossing just before Intermediate Signals at MP 30.05, a road bridge overhead (MP 30.88), a turn curvily north, a road bridge overhead, an embankment with a road down below to the east, Ward Hill (MP 280.46/30.54), Intermediate Signals at MP 32.1, a hand-operated crossover at Brad (MP 278.80/32.20), a turn northeast with a speed restriction to 35 mph for curves between MP 32.4 and MP 33.3, past the MBTA passenger station, with two side platforms each with a short shed, at Bradford (MP 278.47/32.53), a street alongside to the east, a former spur heading east at MP 32.67, and a turn just east of due north, past a through truss bridge over the Merrimack River, and an embankment crossing two streets, to the passenger station, with two side platforms on the embankment, at Haverhill (MP 278.07/32.93), end of MBTA service.
