Readville to Milford

From the junction at Read (MP 9.1), where the single track Franklin Branch connector (30 mph on the CTC connector) diverges from the west side of the Providence main line, and the junction at Hill (MP 9.1), where the single track Franklin Branch connector (30 mph on the  CTC connector) diverges, on the north side, from the single track connector (30 mph on the connector) to the Providence main line, and passes beneath the Providence main line, with both lines passing the passengfer station at Readville (MP 9.5 and joining together at the junction at Spragye (MP 9.7), the Franklin Branch heads west, Two Main Tracks, CTC, maximum speed 60 mph for passenger trains and 40 mph for freights, past the passenger station at Endicott (MP 10.9), turning south-southeast, past the passenger station at Dedham (MP 11.8), the passenger station at Islington (MP 12.5), a 50/30 speed restriction on Track 1, from the Washington Street bridge (MP 13.8) to  the grade crossing at Railroad Avenue (MP 14.3), and the passenger station at Norwood (MP 14.3), where a 50/30 speed restriction on Track 2 to the grade crossing at Railroad Avenue (MP 14.3) starts.

There is a passenger station at Norwood Central (MP 14.8), where the Wrentham Secondary Track diverges on the east side, and single track, CTC, starts, a 40/30 speed restriction on the curve from MP 15.1 to MP 15.4, as the line turns southwest, past the passenger station at Windsor Gardens (MP 16.6), the passenger station at Plimptonville (MP 17.7), the connector (Lewis Wye) on the west side to the Framingham Secondary Track, the passenger station at Walpole (MP 19.1), a siding from Walpole to Walpole West (15/10 on the siding), and the flat crossing (30 mph on the crossing) with the Framingham Secondary Track at Walpole West (MP 19.8), where the line turns west-southwest, a grade crossing at Seekonk Street (MP 22.1), a grade crossing at Rockwood Street (MP 23.0), and the passenger station at Norfolk (MP 23.0).

The line turns southwest, again, past MP 26.9, east end of the Franklin Layover Facility, where the maximum speed drops to 30 mph, MP 27.3, near the west end of the Franklin Layover Facility, where the maximum speed drops to 25 mph, an interlocking at Frank (MP 27.4), the passenger station at Franklin (MP 27.5), the connector to the Franklin Industrial Track (MP 27.6), the connector to the Franklin Industrial Track (MP 27.9), and Franklin Junction (MP 28.0), where an erstwhile line to Blackstone once continued ahead, and today's line turns northwest, past MP 28.1, where the maximum speed rises to 40 mph, a grade crossing at Union Street (MP 28.2), a grade crossing at Fisher Street (MP 28.4), a grade crossing at Hayward Street (MP 28.6), a 30/25 speed restriction, from MP 29.3 to MP 29.4, where the line turns west, a grade crossing at Grove Street (MP 29.6), CP-Forge Park (MP 30.1), where the maximum speed drops to 25 mph, a grade crossing at Forge Park Road (MP 30.2), and the passenger station at Forge Park/I-495 (MP 30.3), where MBTA passenger service ends and  the maximum speed drops to 15/10.

Yard Limits and 10 mph maximum speed start at Forge (MP 30.5), where the line turns west-northwest, past a grade crossing at River Street (MP 32.7), a grade crossing at Depot Street (MP 33.4), a grade crossing at Hartford Street (MP 33.9), a grade crossing at Mellen Street (MP 34.7), a grade crossing at Howard Street (MP 34.9), a grade crossing at Howard Street (MP 35.5), a grade crossing at National Street (MP 35.7), a grade crossing at South Cedar Street (MP 36.1), a grade crossing at Depot Street (MP 36.3), a grade crossing at Central Street (MP 36.5), and a grade crossing at Min Street (MP 36.8), turning northwest to the end of the branch at Milford (MP 38.5)
