Blue Island to Harvey

From the manual (but signaled) flat crossing with the two-track Indiana Harbor Belt at MP 19.5, a grade crossing  with Broadway Street, and  the southwest quadrant connector from the IHB, and crossover, at Broadway (MP 19.5), where CTC starts and the north lead for the Blue Island yard splits away to the west, the double track line, maximum speed 65 mph for passenger trains, 60 mph for intermodal trains, and 55 mph for freight trains,, but local restriction 45 mph to MP 20.8, passes the bridge carrying the double-track Metra Rock Island line overhead, the four track Blue Island yard (MP 20.2) to the west, and a bridge carrying 139th Street overhead.

The line turns southeast, with the yard lead trailing in on the southwest side, past Intermediate Signals at MP 20.5/.6/.7/.8, a grade crossing with Western Avenue, MP 21, bridges carrying I-57 overhead, grade crossings with Robey Street, Lincoln Street, and Wood Street, MP 22, grade crossings with Sibley (147th Street) and Ashaldn Avenue, a connection from the B&OCT trailing in on the northeast side at CSX Junction (MP 22.6), grade crossings with 150th Street, Center Street and Broadway Street, and the bridge carrying the four tracks of the Metra Electric and Illinois Central Main Line overhead at Harvey (MP 23.2), with connectors in the southwest (west of the bridge, at MP 23), followed by a grade crossing with Park Avenue before the bridge, northeast, followed by grade crossings with Halsted Street and 155th Street, and southeast quadrants, each with a crossover at the double track.
