Cavanaugh to Pine Junction/Kirk Yard

From the wye on the west side with the Calumet District (south switch MP 42.8, Cavanaugh, MP 43.2, north switch MP 43.3), the line turns northeast, double track, CTC, Yard Limits, maximum speed 45 mph, with 20 mph restrictions through turnouts, past a crossover at MP 43.5, a spur north (on the west side) into a tank farm, a bridge over the former PRR Fort Wayne Line, a former junction with an erstwhile EJ&E line from Dunes, trailing in on the south side, a continuing bridge over the former Wabash, a junction with the EJ&E  Gary City Track Lead (MP 44.4), trailing in on the south side, where there is a crossover, the first wye switch for the Lakefront Line, curving away northwest, still on the bridge, at Stockton #2 (MP MP 44.5), where the main line turns east-southeast and descends to ground level, the second wye switch off the Lakefront Line, trailing in on the north side at Kirk Yard Junction (MP 45.4), a connector from the Water-level Route, trailing in on the south side, and another EJ&E connector trailing in on the north side, another connector trailing in on the south side, and a connector to many spurs headign away on the north side at the west end of Kirk Yard, just west of the US Steel Gary Mill.
