Franklin Park to Tower B17

The Three Main Tracks now head west-northwest, past a grade crossing with a north-south street at the east end of the north side and center island platforms at the Metra station at Franklin Park (MP 13.2), where the depot is on the north side and there are still freight connector tracks on the south side, a grade crossing with a north-south street at the west end of the platforms, and crossovers, a grade crossing with a north-south street, extra track on the south side, a grade crossing with a north-south street, and the crossovers  at Mannheim (MP 14.0), which result in Two Main Tracks continuing west and freight connector tracks on the south side, followed by the east end of the very large (over a dozen tracks) Bensenville Yard on the south side of the line, where the freight connector tracks disappear into the yard.

Halfway along that yard, which has a road bridge overhead and dual road bridges overhead (I-294), in its eastern portion, track from the yard becomes track along the south side of the line, a former-C&NW two-track freight line bridges overhead from south to north, including bridging the yard, more tracks from the yard trail into the track on the south side of the line, and the main part of Bensenville Yard (again, over a dozen tracks) is at MP 15.5. At Tower B17, at the west end of the yard (MP 17.0), there are crossovers and extra track on the north side, and a two-track freight line curves away north to join the C&NW freight line that had bridged overhead, and use that line to connect to the CP line to Milwaukee, far to the north at Tower A20, while the main line continues west-northwest.
