Maynard to Griffith

From the crossovers, erstwhile flat crossing and still extant southwest quadrant connector with the former Monon at Maynard/Munster (MP 31.1), the Grand Trunk Western  line heads east-southeast, Two Main Tracks, CTC, maximum speed 65 mph for passenger trains, 60 mph for intermodal trains, and 55 mph for freight trains, past the east-facing spur on the south side for the Time warehouse, the erstwhile flat crossing (and later junction) with the former PRR Panhandle line, still at Maynard, grade crossings with Calumet Avenue and White Oak Road, MP 32, Intermediate Signals at MP 32.7/.8, MP 33, a bridge carrying US 41 overhead, the signals and flat crossing with the former Conrail (New York Central) and erstwhile 3,790 ft. siding at Hays (MP 34.0), a grade crossing with Kennedy Avenue, a grade crossing with Main Street at MP 35, MP 36, a grade crossing with Broad Street, and the manually-controlled flat crossing (40 mph on the crossing) with the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern, where there is a south-quadrant connector installed to facilitate the merger of the EJ&E into Canadian National, long-time owner of GTW, and erstwhile 3,960 ft. siding at Griffith (MP 36.1).
