Miller to Sheridan

From the passenger station with platform and brick waiting room to the south at Miller (MP 34.9), where there is a connector down to the former B&O main line on the north side, just east of the station, that then passes beneath the South Shore before tying into the former B&O, the line turns northeast to bridge over that former B&O line (three tracks, including the connector) on a through girder bridge, and then east-northeast along the south side of the former NYC Chicago Line, with a street alongside to the south, remaining along the south side of that line past the south-side siding at Wagner (MP 35.8 to MP 37.0 or further east), a grade crossing at Hillside Avenue within the siding, the passenger station with north side platform and shelter at Ogden Dunes (MP 39.0), where the line starts a gentle curve to the east with the ex-NYC alongside, a grade crossing, a through girder bridge over a river, and a road bridge overhead.

There is a south-side siding at Wilson (MP 40.6), where the lines have curved to due east, a road bridge overhead, a grade crossing, a road alongside to the south, the separation of the two lines, with the South Shore diverging on the south side and then turning northeast to bridge above the two track ex-NYC line on a through girder bridge adjacent to the Bethlehem Steel (now Arcelor Mittal) plant on the north side, past a through girder bridge over a road, a road alongside to the south, the tracks at the steel mill on the north side, a grade crossing, a curve east-northeast, extra track to the south, a grade crossing, extra track to the north, the end of the extra track to the south, and the wye junction at Baily (MP 43.1), from which a spur heads north to the Baily Generating Station on the south shore of Lake Michigan.

The main line continues east-northeast, through the sand dunes along the south shore of Lake Michigan, past a grade crossing, a road bridge overhead, the passenger station with platform and depot to the south at Dune Park (MP 44.7), a road alongside to the south that then curves away, a wooded area, extra track on the north side from west of Dune Park to Tremont Siding, a grade crossing, Tremont (MP 46.4), Kemil Road (MP 49.4), a grade crossing, the passenger station (platform and depot on the north side) at Beverly Shores (MP 50.5), signals where a second track on the north side starts,  Tamarack (MP 51.4), a grade crossing, a wooded area, a grade crossing, a gated grade crossing, a closed dirt track grade crossing, a grade crossing, Lake Shore, extra track on the south side, a turn northeast, and Sheridan (MP 54.2), where the second track on the north side ends, a branch heads north, across the road to the north side, to a power plant on the lake shore and a connection with the former Michigan Central line now used by Amtrak, while the main line turns east-northeast again.
