Hopewell to Dykemans

From the Block Limit Station at Hope (MP 12.7), where the erstwhile Maybrook Line once trailed into the north side of the Beacon Line from the northwest, coming from the Poughkeepsie bridge and Maybrook, where it interchanged with other railroads to form a freight link between New Jersey (and lines to the West) and New England, the line continues southeast, single track, Manual Block, with speed limit 25 mph for passenger trains and 10 mph for freights, turning east and continuing to climb, past Green Haven, then northeast, north-northeast, clockwise to the south at Appalachian Trail (MP 22.5), summit of the line, and descending past Whaley Lake, turning just west of due south, and then south-southeast past Holmes (MP 27.2), the Block Limit Station at Holm (MP 27.3), and the Harlem Line bridging overhead at Towners, and turning south-southwest past the Block Limit Station at Pond (MP 33.1) to the junction with the north-south Harlem Line running on the west side at Dykemans (MP 33.6), where the Beacon Line turns south-southeast.
