Jersey City to Oak Island and Lane Tower

From the connection with the south end of the River Line at CP-Waldo (MP 0.0), where an erstwhile PRR line from the pier at Harsimus Cove once trailed in from the east, the Passaic and Harsimus Line heads just north of due west, single track, Rule 261, maximum speed 15 mph, past a 3000 ft. north-side siding to Topps, turning north in the process, with the PATH rapid transit line alongside to the west (having emerged from the Hudson Tubes), and turning just north fo due west, with the PATH still alongside to the south, with the Northern Branch from Croxton coming alongside to the north, then northwest, with crossovers between the Northern Branch and the Passaic and Harsimus Line at the movable bridge over the Hackensack River at Hack (MP 1.6), the start of Double Track, current-of-traffic (Rule -251), still maximum speed 15 mph, turning just north of due west again, into the east end of South Kearny Yard.

The line turns south-southwest, at the west end of South Kearny Yard, past crossovers, the movable bridge over the Passaic River at Kearny (MP 3.4), after which the maximum speed rises to 30 mph, Plank (MP 4.5), a bridge over a former Lehigh Valley line to Lister Avenue, and a bridge over a former Jersey Central line to East Ferry Street, to the crossover and junction at CP-Stock (MP 5.9), where the Lehigh Connecting Track to CP-Valley departs on the south side, single track, Rule 261, maximum speed 30 mph, and the double track continues south-southwest, past WA-5 (MP 7.7), to the junction with the Northeast Corridor at Lane Tower.
