Pascack  Junction to Ridgewood Junction

From  the junction where the two track Pascack Valley Line splits off from the east side of the two track Bergen County Line at Pascack Junction (MP 7.6), the latter continues just west of due north, Double Track, Rule 261, maximum speed 70 mph for passenger trains and 40 mph for freight trains, past a bridge over a major highway, a bridge over a street, the passenger station (two high-level side platforms) at Rutherford (MP 8.4), the former junction where the erstwhile Erie main line once headed northwest (to South Paterson) and the Bergen County Line turns north, past a grade crosisng, and then just east of due north, with a 35 mph speed restriction (eastward) and a 40 mph passenger speed restriction (westward) on the curve from MP 8.9 to MP 9.2, past a signal bridge, a street to the east, a rail-served industry (with tank cars) to the east, two grade crossings, a rail-served industry to the east, and a Control Point at West BJ (MP 9.8), where the line becomes current-of-traffic (Rule 251).

The line turns north-northwest, starting a 50 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 10.4 to MP 11.7, past extra track to the east, a signal bridge at Curtis Wright (MP 10.5), a bridge over a street, a bridge over a stream/river, and a bridge over a street, and then just east of due north, past a bridge over a street at an intersection (Midland Avenue and Passaic Street) at the south end of the passenger station (two low-level side platforms) at Garfield (MP 11.3), a grade crossing at the north end of the station, and two grade crossings.

There is a handthrow crossover at Island (MP 11.7), Dundee, extra track to the east, a grade crossing, a platform under construction in July, 2010, a footpath to the east, a grade crossing at the south end of the passenger station (two low-level side platforms) at Plauderville (MP 12.7), a road bridge overhead, a gradual turn just west of due north, a grade crossing, a street to the east, a grade crossing, a signal bridge , a bridge over a major highway, a formerly handthrow) crossover at BT (MP 14.2), a signal bridge, a bridge carrying the line over the New York, Susquehanna & Western, with a northeast quadrant connector trailing in at Warren Point (MP 15.1), where there is a handthrow crossover, extra track to the east (out-of-service?), a bridge over a divided road at the south end of the passenger station (two low-level side platforms) at Broadway–Fair Lawn (MP 16.5), a signal bridge at the north end of the station, a road bridge overhead, a pedestrian crossing, a grade crossing at the south end of the passenger station (two low-level side platforms, umbrella shed on west side) at Radburn, a grade crossing, a 50 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 18.1 to MP 18.4, the Bergen County Line station (two low-level side platforms with umbrella sheds) at Glen Rock (MP 18.2), a grade crossing, a cantilever signal bridge, a bridge over a street, and Ridgewood Junction (MP 19.0), where there is an old tower on the east side and the line trails into the east side of the NJT Main Line.
