Suffern to Campbell Hall

From the passenger station at Suffern (MP 30.5), a 45 mph passenger speed restriction on Track 1 and 40 mph on Track 2, from MP 30.6 to MP 30.9, the start of current-of-traffic (Rule 251) at SF (MP 30.5), and the end of NJT ownership at Division Post (MP 31.3), where a former Erie line from Spring Valley trails in on the east side, the former Erie main line heads northwest, Double Track, current-of-traffic (Rule 251), Automatic Block Signals, maximum speed 60 mph for passenger trains and 40 mph for passenger trains, past the handthrow crossover at Hillburn (MP 31.9), a 40 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 31.9 to MP 32.7, as the line turns north-northwest, Ramapo (MP 32.5), a 50 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 32.7 to MP 33.9, as the line turns north, the reduction to single track, Rule 261, at CP Sterling (MP 34.5), where an erstwhile branch once headed west to the Sterling Mine, and the passenger station at Sloatsburg.

There is a 50 mph passenger speed restriction on the curve from MP 35.1 to MP 35.3, a 50 mph passenger speed restriction on the curve from MP 35.6 to MP 35.9, a 45 mph passenger speed restriction on the curve from MP 36.5 to MP 36.7, a passenger station at Tuxedo (MP 37.1), a 35 mph speed restriction on curves from MP 37.2 to MP 38.5, a 50 mph passenger speed restriction, on the curve from MP 38.8 to MP 39, a 55 mph passenger speed restriction on the curve from MP 39 to MP 39.5, a 55 mph passenger speed restriction, on the curve from MP 40.9 to MP 41.1, a passenger station at Southfields, where the line turns just east of due north, a 50 mph passenger speed restriction on the curve from MP 43 to MP 43.1, a passenger station at Arden, a 50 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 44.8 to MP 45, and the 14,220 ft. east side siding (30 mph on the siding), from CP Harriman (MP 44.9), where a spur (the remains of the former Erie main line) heads west-northwest to Monroe, and the maximum speed rises to 79 mph for passenger trains, 60 mph for intermodal trains, and 50 mph for freight trains, with local 45 mph speed restriction, from MP 45 to MP 45.3 and 70 mph passenger speed restriction from MP 47.3 to MP 47.,7 to CP Central Valley (MP 48.1).

The line turns north-northeast, with a 70 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 48.4 to MP 49, north, with a 60 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 49.1 to MP 49.7, northeast, with a 45 mph speed restriction from MP 49.8 to MP 50.3, over Woodbury Viaduct (MP 50.1) and past a detector at MP 50.3, just west of due north, with a 60 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 50.7 to MP 51.2, north-northeast, with a 70 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 52.7 to MP 53.9, north, with a 60 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 54.3 to MP 54.6, where an erstwhile connector to an erstwhile Erie line between Hudson Junction and Newburgh once headed northeast, a 30 mph speed restriction,, from MP 54.6 to MP 55.4, over Moodna Viaduct (MP 55.0), which passes above the route of that erstwhile line, a 60 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 55.4 to MP 55.7, a 70 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 56.3 to MP 57.6, the passenger station at Cornwall/Salisbury Mills (MP 58.4), and the east side siding at Clarks Siding (MP 58.5).

There is a curve west-southwest, a detector at MP 60.7, a 70 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 61.1 to MP 62.8, a turn northwest, with a 60 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 63.2 to MP 63.4, the junction with the Hudson Secondary, coming from the south (Hudson Junction and, originally, Phillipsburg), and start of the 6,119 ft. north side siding (50 mph on the siding) at CP Hudson Junction (MP 63.4), a 70 mph passenger speed restriction, from MP 63.8 to MP 65.7, a turn west-southwest, the end of the siding at CP Hall (MP 64.7), where there is an east leg of the connector to the Walden Industrial Track (and formerly, the erstwhile line to the Poughkeepsie Bridge), and the line turns west-northwest, the passenger station at Campbell Hall (MP 65.7), and the junction with the Walden Industrial Track, trailing in from the  north, at West Hall (MP 66.5).
