A&S Crossing to Mitchell

From the flat crossings with the former Nickel Plate (with southeast quadrant connector) and former Litchfield & Madison, later C&NW, at NS-CNS Xing also known as A&S Crossing (MP 14.7), where the maximum speed is 10 mph and there is a connector turning west to the north side of the former CNW, the A&S makes a connection with the former Alton & Eastern, turning away west, and turns northeast, along the north side of the former C&NW, with the east end of a yard trailing in in the north side, single track, Yard Limits, maximum speed 10 mph, past MP 16.4, where Yard Limits end and Automatic Block Signals start, with the maximum speed rising to 30 mph, past the 5,510 ft. siding at AA Siding (MP 16.7), where an erstwhile Illinois Terminal line once crossed and then turned northeast, between the A&S and the former C&NW, and turning north, past the yard on the west side at Mitchell Yard (MP 20.7), the location of a former flat crossing with an erstwhile IT line at Mitchell, the end of ABS and start of Yard Limits at MP 20.9, and flat crossing with the double track former Wabash, and double track former Big Four (with southeast quadrant connector to the latter for the former C&EI) at Lenox Tower (MP 21.0), where the A&S trails into the south side of the former Chicago & Alton/former Big Four joint track that turns north at this point.
