Edwards to Nichols/Springfield

From the junction at Edwards (MP 102.7), where the 2MT end, the former Frisco line to the junction with the Tulsa line at Afton, OK, heads south-southwest, the former Frisco line to Springfield, MO, and Memphis turns east, single track, CTC, with speed limit 30 mph rising to 60 mph, south past Clarksburg, southeast and then south again past Garland (MP 109.1) and the 8,750 ft. siding at Arcadia (MP 116.9), where a branch once headed south-southwest, the line turns just east of due south, across the border between Kansas and Missouri, and  the speed limit has fallen to 45 mph for the flat crossing with the Kansas City Southern north-south line at KCS Crossing (MP 118.4), turning southeast past Liberal (MP 123.8), where the sped limit has returned to 60 mph and there is a flat crossing with the north end of a South Kansas & Oklahoma (former MoPac) line, and Wimmer.

The line turns east past a detector at MP 130.2, additional track at NFA Spur (MP 131.6), and the 8,600 ft. siding at Iantha (MP 132.8), where it turns just south of due east, then south and east past Lamar (MP 138.7), where the speed limit is 45 mph, and the flat crossing with the Missouri & North Arkansas at MNA Crossing (MP 139.1), where the speed limit is 55 mph, and additional track at MFA Elevator Spur (MP 139.1), turning east-southeast past Kenoma, just south of due east past the 8,600 ft. siding at Dix (MP 149.4), where the speed limit is back to 60 mph and Golden City (MP 150.9), east past a detector at MP 154.7 and Lockwood (MP 158.6), just south of due east past the 6,600 ft. siding at Dumbeck (MP 162.0), where the speed limit has dropped to 45 mph.

The line now gets very curvy as it enters the Ozarks, turning south, east, northeast past South Greenfield, where a line once trailed in from the south, and additional track for the Greenfield Lead (to the north) at Greenfield (MP 165.5), southeast, northeast, east, just east of due south past the 8,935 ft. siding at Pilgrim (MP 170.6), northeast, east past additional track at Everton Spur (MP 175.6), southeast past a detector at MP 178.8, where the speed limit has risen to 50 mph, south, just east of due south past Everton (MP 179.0), east-northeast, east-southeast, east, east-northeast, south-southeast past Ash Grove, where a line once trailed in from the north, curvily east-southeast past Bois D'Arc, and east past the 9,133 ft. siding at Elwood (MP 194.5), where the speed limit is 60 mph, additional track at Leprino Spur (MP 198.0), and the junction with the former Frisco line from Tulsa to St. Louis, trailing in from the southwest at Nichols (MP 198.3/241.7), where the speed limit is 25 mph and Two Main Tracks, Yard Limits start, the remaining spur into the center of Springfield (where the passenger station was) heads east and all through traffic uses the line past Springfield Yard (MP 238.7) on the St. Louis line, heading east-northeast.
