BNSF St. Joseph subdivision, from Lincoln to Napier (and Kansas City)
From the crossovers and wye junction at Carling (MP 207.5), where the line south to Kansas City turns away from the line to Chicago, speed limit 10 mph on the curve, with the line from McCook making a flat crossing in the middle of the turn, an east leg of the wye trailing in on the east side at Hall (MP 207.3), where Yard Limits end and the UP Fremont to Kansas City line alongside to the east, the line heads south, Two Main Tracks, CTC, speed limit 40 mph, past Hill Street Junction (MP 206.0), where there is a flat crossing with that UP line, the BNSF line turns south-southeast, and there is a junction with the Kyle line (a former CB&Q line) on the east side, a turn southwest, away from the Kyle line, a turn south, along the east side of that UP line, detectors at MP 204.3, crossovers at Crossover 203.9 (MP 203.9), where the speed limit has risen to 45 mph, an angled bridge that once carried an erstwhile Rock Island line overhead, and a turn just east of due south, separating from the UP line.
There are detectors at MP 199.7, Saltillo (MP 198.1), where the 2MT reduce to single track, CTC, and the line turns a little more to the south, Roca (MP 196.7), a turn a little more east, a detector at MP 194.3, a former crossing with an erstwhile MoPac line, CP 1931 (MP 193.1), where another stretch of 2MT starts, Hickman (MP 192.5), a turn south, a turn just west of due south, detectors at MP 188.4, a turn just east of due south, Firth (MP 185.4), where single track resumes for the rest of the way to Napier, a turn south-southeast, a detector at MP 183.1, and Adams (MP 179.7), a turn east-northeast, a detector at MP 177.9, the 7,019 ft. siding at Gage (MP 175.0), a turn just south of due east, a detector at Sterling (MP 172.2), a turn east-southeast, St. Mary (MP 167.0), a detector at MP 166.7, and the 7,064 ft. siding at Bear (MP 163.5.
The line turns south-southeast, past a detector at MP 161.8, turning east-southeast at the 7,010 ft. siding at Tecumseh (MP 160.4), where an erstwhile line once trailed in from the west, there is a 35 mph speed restriction, and an erstwhile line once turns away northeast, turning curvily south-southeast past a detector at MP 158.6, the 7,056 ft. siding at Elk Creek (MP 153.4), where the speed limit has risen to 50 mph, a detector at MP 147.1, and the 10,868 ft. siding and junction with a former CB&Q line from Oxford Junction (in western Nebraska) at Table Rock (MP 145.0), turning southeast past a detector at MP 143.2, east, east-northeast past a detector at MP 139.1, curvily east past the 7,595 ft. siding at Humboldt (MP 137.2), and curvily east-southeast past a detector at MP 134.8, where the speed limit has fallen to 45 mph, a detector at MP 131.1, Dawson (MP 130.3), the 10,136 ft. siding at New Salem (MP 127.5), and a detector at MP 126.4.
An erstwhile CB&Q line from Nebraska City once trailed in from the north at Salem (MP 122.9), where the speed limit has returned to 50 mph, and the line passes a detector at MP 121.1, turning east past the 7,019 ft. siding at Falls City (MP 116.5), where there is a flat crossing (40 mph on the crossing) with a UP (former MoPac) line south from Omaha, just east of due south and then east again, past the 7,441 ft. siding at Preston (MP 111.6), where the speed limit is back to 45 mph, and a detector at MP 115.8, where an erstwhile line once left on the south side as the current line turns east-northeast, past a detector at MP 110.0, turning just north of due east past Rulo (MP 106.4), where an erstwhile connector trails in from the south and the speed limit has dropped to 40 mph, a detector at MP 106.1, and the multi-span through-truss bridge over the Missouri River, from Nebraska into Missouri, turning southeast and then east past a detector at MP 102.7, where the speed limit is 45 mph, Fortescue (MP 100.7), where the speed limit has risen to 50 mph, and West Napier (MP 98.7), where 2MT start, and turning just east of due south at the crossovers and junction with the former CB&Q line south from Pacific Junction, at Napier (MP 97.4), where the speed limit is 30 mph.
