Olathe to Edwards

From Olathe (MP 20.5), where the speed limit has risen to 60 mph, single track, CTC, starts, and a connector from a former Santa Fe line, providing access from Argentine Yard, trails in on the west side, the line heads south, past Moss (MP 25.1), Bonita (MP 26.5), a detector at MP 27.4, additional track at AFG Industrial Spur (MP 29.1), Ocheltree, and Spring Hill (MP 30.1), where the speed limit is 55 mph, turning south-southwest and then just west of due south past additional track at Hillsdale Elevator (MP 36.2), North Hillsdale (MP 37.3), where the speed limit is back to 60 mph and a short stretch of Two Main Tracks, CTC, starts, the junction with the UP (former M-K-T) Parsons sub., splitting away (it has had trackage rights since 29th Street in Kansas City, KS) on the west side at South Hillsdale (MP 41.8), where the speed limit is 50 mph and single track resumes as the line turns south, and the junction with southeast and northwest quadrant connectors to the UP (former MoPac) Coffeyville sub. at Paola (MP 42.9), where the speed limit is 40 mph for the flat crossing with that UP line at UP Crossing (MP 43.1).

The line turns south-southeast, south past Spring Hill (MP 46.5), where the speed limit has risen to 60 mph, a detector at MP 47.7, the 6,400 ft. siding at Henson (MP 48.3), and a detector at MP 50.8, curvily south-southeast past the 8,635 ft. siding at Fontana (MP 54.2), the detector and 7,150 ft. siding at LaCygne (MP 61.7), and additional track at Bolcourt Spur (MP 67.5), south past a detector at MP 71.0 and the 8,400 ft. siding at Pleasanton (MP 74.0), where the speed limit is 55 mph, there was once a crossing with an erstwhile MoPac east-west line, and the line turns just east of due south, south past Miami, where a branch once turned away east and the 6,792 ft. siding at Prescott (MP 81.9), where the speed limit is back to 60 mph, south-southwest past Fulton and a detector at MP 85.9, south-southeast and then south past the 8,640 ft. siding at Hammond (MP 91.7) and North Fort Scott (MP 96.8), where 2MT, CTC, start and the speed limit is 40 mph, southwest past a location where an erstwhile MoPac line once trailed in from the northeast and a location where the Missouri & North Arkansas (former M-K-T) trails in from the east and once continued west, and south past the yard at Fort Scott (MP 98.6), where the speed limit is 20 mph, South Fort Scott (MP 98.9), where the speed limit has risen to 30 mph, and the junction at Edwards (MP 102.7), where the 2MT end, the former Frisco line to the junction with the Tulsa line at Afton, OK, heads south-southwest and the former Frisco line to Springfield, MO, and Memphis turns east.
