Findlay Junction to Villa Grove

From the wye at Findlay Junction (MP 185.5), where the lines from East St. Louis to the west and Gorham, IL (i.e., the wye at Chap), to the south, come together on 40 mph turnouts, the single track, Track Warrant Control (TWC) line, speed limit 60 mph, heads northeast, past a grade crossing, two dirt road grade crossings in town, a grade crossing, the 11,361 ft. west side siding at Findlay (MP 185.5 to MP 183.1), with thre extra tracks to the east at at MP 185.2, two grade crossings, a bridge over drainage, a lake to the east, a deck girder bridge over that artificial lake, two grade crossings, a road alongside to the east, a grade crossing as the road turns away, a dirt track grade crossing, a detector at MP 179.5, a grade crossing, Kirksville, a grade crossing just south of the flat crossing with the single track IC Mattoon to Decatur line at Sullivan (MP 176.1), speed limit 30 mph across the crossing, a grade crossing just north of the flat crossing, a street to the east, a grade crossing at Canfield Street, a grade crossing at Hagerman Street, a grade crossing, a bridge over drainage, two grade crossings, an extra track at Chipps (MP 173,1), no-longer rail-served silos to the east, three grade crossings, the 9,989 ft. west side siding at Cadwell (MP 171.1 to MP 169.1), with a dirt track grade crossing and two grade crossings within the siding, extra track to the east to silos just north of the siding, with a grade crossing, a bridge over drainage, four grade crossings, and a bridge over drainage.

There is a speed limit of 30 mph from MP 165.0 to MP 164.8, two grade crossings in town, an extra track at Arthur (MP 164.7), where a PRR branch once crossed at grade and the line turns east-northeast, silos to the east (no longer rail connected), two grade crossings, Intermediate Signals, a bridge over a river, two grade crossings, a bridge over a stream, Intermediate Signals and a detector at MP 160.7, a grade crossing, an extra track to the east at Bourbon (MP 159.4), Intermediate Signals, a grade crossing, the 9,587 ft.  east side siding at  Tuscola (MP 155.5 to MP 153.5), with a grade crossing, a bridge over a road, and four extra tracks to the east, within the siding, a southwest quadrant connector and a road bridge overhead, the flat crossing with the double track north-south IC main line and single track east-west former B&O Decatur branch at Tuscola (MP 153.5), with speed limit 20 mph on the crossing, where the line turns east along the north side of the former B&O for more than a mile before turning away northeast, past a grade crossing just east of the flat crossing, a grade crossing, extra track to the south between the C&EI and B&O tracks, dual road bridges overhead, two grade crossings, a bridge over drainage, three grade crossings, West Ridge, Intermediate Signals at MP 148.8, and two grade crossings, to the 10,537 ft. east side siding at Villa Grove (MP 146.8 to MP 144.6), where there is a street alongside to the northwest, a grade crossing, a small yard on the east side, a grade crossing, and a  junction with the Westville Industrial lead to Danville on the east side at the north end of the siding.
