(Junctions were installed at Dow and Delco in the Penn Central era, permitting the abandonment of the PRR between Dow and Delco, and (perhaps not incidentally) connections to and from Indianapolis on the New York Central line.)
From the 57-car siding and flat crossing with the New York Central passenger line at Delco (MP 122.2), a 40 mph speed restriction on the curve east of MP 122, where the line turns east-southeast, along the south side of the NYC passenger line, and the flat crossing with the New York Central freight line at Gridley (MP 121.4), the Panhandle line heads east-southeast, single track, manual block, maximum speed 50 mph for passenger trains and 40 mph for freight trains, but 30 mph speed restriction as far as Gridley, past Middletown (MP 115.3), turning southeast past Honey Creek (MP 111.5) and the 114-car siding at Sulphur Springs (MP 108.5), to the junction with the Nickel Plate, coming from the north at Foley (MP 104.1), where CTC starts and the line heads just east of due south, past a flat crossing with an east-west New York Central line, to the junction with the Nickel Plate at Broad (MP 101.9), where Nickel Plate lines head south and southeast, and there is a 30 mph speed restriction on the curve to the PRR line heading east.
