From the junction with the Delaware Industrial (the former Big Four line direct from Springfield, now truncated just a few miles to the west) at CP 114 (MP 114.0), a bridge carrying the NS Sandusky line overhead, and the lines coming back together at CP 111/Paget (MP 111.1), the line turns north-northeast, single track, CTC, maximum speed 55 mph for intermodal trains, 50 mph for some freight trains, and 40 mph for general merchandise trains, past Leonardsburg, a detector at "Leonardsburg" (MP 108.3), MP 108, where the maximum speed for intermodal trains rises to 70 mph, a 4,296 ft. siding at CP 104/Ashley (MP 104.4), and MP 102, where the maximum speed for intermodal trains falls to 65 mph.

There is a dragging equipment detector at MP 100.1, a dragging equipment detector at MP 96.1, Cardington, CP 93 (MP 93.9), a 5,314 ft. controlled siding at CP 92 (MP 92.8), where an erstwhile Toledo & Ohio Central line once crossed on the flat (at an acute angle), MP 92, where the maximum speed for intermodal trains falls to 55 mph, CP 91 (MP 91.2), where the maximum speed for intermodal trains rises to 60mph, MP 88, where the maximum speed for intermodal trains rises to 65 mph, a turn northeast, a 4,471 ft. siding at St. James (MP 85.2), a detector at "St. James" (MP 85.0), a turn just east of due north, MP 82, where the maximum speed for intermodal trains falls to 55 mph, and the junction (30 mph on the junction) with the former Conrail Indianapolis Line, coming from the southwest, formerly joint Big Four and Erie, at CP 80 (MP 80.3), where the erstwhile Erie headed east-northeast and the former Big Four heads north-northeast.
