Big Sandy to Texarkana

From the junction (northwest quadrant) and flat crossing (40 mph on the crossing) with the ex-Texas & Pacific, crossing from west to east at UP Xing (MP 525.0), the east end of Big Sandy, the former Cotton Belt line continues northeast, single track, CTC, with speed limit 60 mph, past a detector at MP 524.6, a detector at MP 520.7, a detector at MP 519.0, Pritchett, the 6,574 ft. siding at Suffolk (MP 513.6 - MP 512.2), and Gilmer (MP 511.7), where the speed limit is 45 mph, the erstwhile Marshall & East Texas Railway once crossed on the flat, and the line turns curvily north, past Bettie, a detector at MP 505.5, where the speed limit is 50 mph, the 8,492 ft. siding at Smith (MP 502.0 - MP 500.6), where the speed limit is 60 mph, a detector at MP 498.2, Pine, a detector at MP 494.3, Pittsburg (MP 491.2), where the speed limit is 35 mph for the flat crossing with the Kansas City Southern (former M-K-T) at KCS Crossing (MP 491.0), with southwest quadrant connector, and the 6,709 ft. siding at East Pittsburg (MP 490.9 - MP 489.5), where the speed limit is 55 mph.

There is a detector at MP 483.4, where the speed limit is 65 mph, Harvard, a bridge over a river, the wye junction on the west side with the Commerce Industrial lead (the erstwhile Cotton Belt line to Dallas) at Dallas Junction (MP 480.2), where the speed limit is 35 mph, where the line turns north-northeast, the 6,927 ft. siding at Mt Pleasant (MP 479.8, where the speed limit is 35 mph, to MP 478.3, where it is 45 mph), at the east end of which the erstwhile Paris & Mt Pleasant Railway once headed north and the line turns curvily east, past a detector at MP 475.9, Cookville, a detector at MP 472.2, where the speed limit is 60 mph, the 9.036 ft. siding at Omaha (MP 466.0, where the speed limit is 45 mph, to MP 464.1, where it is 65 mph), a turn northeast, a detector at MP 462.1, Naples (MP 461.6), where the erstwhile Jefferson & Northwestern Railway once heed away east, a turn east-northeast, past a detector at MP 457.8, and a turn north-northeast and then northeast to the 7,927 ft. siding at Darden (MP 452.8 - MP 451.2).

The line turns east at Bassetts, past a detector at MP 448.2, a turn northeast and then east-southeast, Carbondale, a turn just north of due east, a detector at MP 443.1, where the speed limit is 60 mph, Corley, the 8,056 ft. siding at Maud (MP 437.6 - MP 435.9), where the speed limit is 65 mph, Redwater (MP 431.8), where the speed limit is 60 mph and there is a wye on the north side with a line north-northwest to the Lone Star Ordnance Plant, a detector at MP 431.8, Hartman, a detector at MP 427.5, the 8,500 ft. siding at Eylau (MP 424.9 - MP 423.0), where the speed limit is 65 mph, a detector at MP 421.2, a spur trailing in on the north side from gravel pits, a wye on the south side, with a line to the Kerr McGee Creosote Plant, at West Texarkana (MP 419.9), where the speed limit has fallen to 20 mph, the flat crossing with the KCS, with connectors in the northwest and southeast quadrants, at CB Tower, the flat crossing with the UP Little Rock sub., with connector in the northwest quadrant, at UP Xing (MP 419.1), where the CTC gives way to Yard Limits, Automatic Block Signals, the yard at Texarkana Yard (MP 418.7), where the former Texas & Northeastern Railway trails in from the west, and a connector northeast to the UP Little Rock sub. heads off on the north side, Gertrude (MP 416.4), where CTC resumes and the speed limit has risen to 50 mph, and East Texarkana (MP 414.4).
