Corsicana to Big Sandy

From Corsicana (MP 621.3), where an erstwhile Cotton Belt line from Hillsboro once trailed in from the west (and/or made a flat crossing), the former Cotton Belt line to Big Sandy, Texarkana, and St. Louis splits off on the east side of the former H&TC/SP line to Dallas, which continues just west of due north, and heads just north of due east, in Yard Limits, speed limit 25 mph, past the flat crossing with the BNSF (former Burlington-Rock Island, and before that Trinity & Brazos Valley) line between Fort Worth and Houston at BNSF Xing (MP 621.1), where Automatic Block Signals start, still within Yard Limits, Hill Yard (MP 619.0), where the speed limit is 40 mph and the line turns east, a turn just north of due east again, a detector at MP 616.7, where the speed limit is 50 mph, and single track, CTC, has replaced the yard Limits, ABS, and a bridge over the back end of the Richard Chambers Reservoir, a large lake made by a dam on a tributary of the Trinity River southeast of here.

The line passes Powell, a detector at MP 611.1, the 8,365 ft. siding at Kerens (MP 609.2 - MP 607.5), where the speed limit is 60 mph, a detector at MP 603.5, a turn southeast, a bridge over the Trinity River, a turn curvily just north of due east, Trinidad (MP 599.0), a detector at MP 598.5, a detector at MP 596.0, Malakoff (MP 593.7), a detector at MP 590.5, the 6,998 ft. siding at Dauphin (MP 588.4 - MP 586.9), a detector at MP 584.8, additional track at Miss Reba (MP 583.9), West Athens, Athens Junction (MP 583.3), where the speed limit is 40 mph, the Athens sub. from Sulphur River trails in from the northwest, with a stub continuing southeast, all on the remnants of a former SP/T&NO line, and the line turns northeast, past a detector at MP 581.6, east-northeast past a detector at MP 579.4, where the speed limit has returned to 60 mph, east, east-northeast again past the 9,800 ft. siding at Murchison (MP 576.8 - MP 574.8), east past a detector at MP 572.7, just north of due east and then east again past Brownsboro (MP 567.0), some curves past a detector at MP 565.6, and east past the 6,540 ft. siding at Chandler (MP 558.7 - MP 557.2), and a detector at MP 553.7.

There is additional track at Kelly Springfield (MP 552.4), as the line turns northeast, and then east again past Lufkin (MP 548.7), where the speed limit is 25 mph, an erstwhile line from Jacksonville once trailed in from the south, and TWC, ABS, replaces the CTC, east-northeast past the intersection with the Tyler Industrial lead at UP Xing (MP 546.5), where the speed limit is 20 mph and the ABS end, the yard at Tyler Yard (MP 545.2), where ABS resume, and Tyler East (MP 544.5), where CTC resumes, replacing TWC, ABS, northeast, curvily east-northeast past a detector at MP 539.4, north-northeast past the 8,480 ft. siding at Owentown (MP 537.3 - MP 535.5), where the speed limit has risen to 50 mph, a detector at MP 533.7, where the speed limit has risen to 60 mph, and Winona, north past a detector at MP 530.3, and northeast past a bridge over the Sabine River and the 8,156 ft. siding at Big Sandy (MP  527.0, where the speed limit is 60 mpg - MP 525.1, where it is 40 mph), to the junction (northwest quadrant) and flat crossing (40 mph on the crossing) with the ex-Texas & Pacific, crossing from west to east at UP Xing (MP 525.0), the east end of that location.
