Texarkana to Pine Bluff/Altheimer

From the flat crossing with the UP Little Rock sub., with connector in the northwest quadrant, at UP Xing (MP 419.1), where the CTC gives way to Yard Limits, Automatic Block Signals, the yard at Texarkana Yard (MP 418.7), where the former Texas & Northeastern Railway trails in from the west, and a connector northeast to the UP Little Rock sub. heads off on the north side, Gertrude (MP 416.4), where Yard Limits end, CTC resumes and the speed limit has risen to 50 mph, and East Texarkana (MP 414.4), the former Cotton Belt line turns east-southeast, single track, CTC, past Oats Street, where a connector southwest from the UP Little Rock sub. trails in on the north side, and Edson, turning south and then east past a detector at MP 412.2 and Milton, jogging southeast and then east again past Genoa and a detector at MP 408.8, turning northeast and then just south of due east with a speed limit of 40 mph between MP 407.8 and MP 406.9, past a speed limit of 55 mph between MP 406.9 and MP 405.2, where it rises to 60 mph, the 8,977 ft. siding at McKinney (MP 403.4) and a detector at MP 399.6.

The line turns south-southeast, past Garland City and a speed limit of 50 mph over the bridge over the Arkansas River between MP 397.3 and MP 396.6, where it rises to the line's maximum of 70 mph, and curvily east past a detector at MP 395.0, Spirit Lake (MP 394.4), Shreveport Junction (MP 390.3), where there is a wye on the south side with the line to Shreveport, the 11,820 ft. siding (30 mph on this and all other controlled sidings) at Lewisville (MP 389.7), the 8,869 ft. siding at Stamps (L&A Xing) (MP 385.2), where the erstwhile Louisiana & Arkansas once crossed on the flat, Apalco (MP 382.8), Buckner, a detector at MP 381.1, the 9,084 ft. siding at Lumber (MP 376.8), where a shortline to Lumber once headed south, Waldo (MP 373.3), where a spur from a  chemical plant to the south trails in and a shortline to Robston once headed north, a detector at MP 371.4, a speed limit of 50 mph on the curves from MP 369.7 to MP366.5, and the 11,197 ft. siding at McNeil (MP 368.1), where the Louisiana & Northwestern trails in from the south and the line turns east-northeast.

There is a speed limit of 60 mph from MP 366.5 to MP 358.8, past Milner, a detector at MP 362.9, a turn east and then northeast, a speed limit of 50 mph from MP 358.8 to MP 348.9, the 10,159 ft. siding at Stephens (MP 357.9), a detector at MP 353.5, a turn just east of due north, Ogamaw, where a short line to Puritoy once headed north and the line turns curvily east-northeast, the 7,328 ft. siding at Buena Vista (MP 348.9), where the speed limit falls to 40 mph for the curves as far as MP 344.4, a speed limit of 45 mph for the curves from MP 344.4 to MP 339.9, a detector at MP 344.3, Finn, Herbert (MP 340.4), a turn to the north with a speed limit of 35 mph from MP 339.9 to MP 339.1 and a speed limit of 25 mph between MP 339.1 and MP 338.9 for the flat crossing with the former MoPac Gurdon to El Dorado line at MP Crossing (MP 338.9), with a detector at MP 338.8.

A connector to the former MoPac at WC Junction (MP 338.7) gives paired track, with a speed limit of  35 mph on the north track (MoPac) between MP 338.9 and MP 337.9 and a speed limit of 20 mph on the south track (Cotton Belt) between MP 338.7 and MP 336.6, a speed limit of 20 mph on the north track between MP 337.9 and MP 336.9, past Camden (MP 337.6), a speed limit of 35 mph on the north track between MP 336.9 and MP 336.6, to the end of paired track at EC Junction (MP 336.7), where an erstwhile Rock Island line once departed on the west side, with both lines bridging over the Ouchita River headed northeast, and turning north with a speed limit of 45 mph between MP 336.6 and MP 335.4 and then a speed limit of 55 mph between MP 335.4 and MP 334.5, where it rises to 60 mph, past a detector at MP 334.3, to Kent, with the erstwhile Rock Island heading north as the former Cotton Belt turns east northeast.

There is a detector at MP 332.1, Van Duzer, Onalaska, where an erstwhile narrow gauge line once headed north, the 6,354 ft. siding at Eagle Mills (MP 327.4), where a spur from the Highlands Industrial Park trails in on the south side and the erstwhile Freeo Valley Railroad once headed away north, Gifford Hill, where there is a spur on the north side, a detector at MP 325.0, Gravel Pit (MP 324.9, Millville (MP 323.3), where the erstwhile Ouchita Valley Railway once trailed in from the south, the 8,350 ft. siding at Bearden (MP 321.2), Harlow, Bests, where the erstwhile Bearden & Ouchita River Railroad once trailed in from the south, a detector at MP 317.6, a speed limit of 50 mph on curves between MP 317.6 and MP 316.8, where it rises to 60 mph, Little Bay, where the erstwhile Little Bay & Hampton Railroad once trailed in from the south, a detector at MP 315.2, and the 8.392 ft. siding at Thornton (MP 313.0), where the erstwhile Thornton & Alexandria Railway once trailed in from the south.

The line turns southeast, east, north-northeast, and then northeast, with a speed limit of 55 mph between MP 312.2 and MP 311.5 and a speed limit of 45 mph between MP 311.5 and MP 307.3,  past a detector at MP 310.5, the 7,623 ft. siding at Fordyce (MP 307.4), where the Fordyce & Princeton (a former Rock Island line) trails in from the south, and erstwhile  FP and RI lines once headed north at F&P Crossing (MP 307.2), a speed limit of 40 mph between MP 307.3 and MP 306.9, where it rises to 60 mph, a detector at MP 305.1, a turn east, past a detector at MP 300.5, and then northeast again, past Kingsland, the 6,763 ft. siding at Saline (MP 297.1), where an erstwhile shortline from New Edinburg once trailed in from the south, a speed limit of 50 mph between MP 294.9 and MP 294.6, where it returns to 60 mph, and a detector at MP 292.9, where it turns north-northeast.

There is a 8,963 ft. siding at Rison (MP 289.8), where the erstwhile Rison & Mt. Elba Railroad once trailed in from the south, Clio, where the erstwhile Helming Brothers Logging line once trailed in from the west, a speed limit of 40 mph between MP 287.4 and MP 286.4, where it rises to 65 mph, a detector at MP 285.7, Kedron, the 7,371 ft. siding at Rone (MP 280.4), Faith, a detector at MP 276.6, Sorrells, a speed limit of 50 mph between MP 271.3 and MP 269.1, and the 11,003 ft. siding at West Pine Bluff (MP 269.3), before the line turns east, with a speed limit of 20 mph between MP 269.1 and MP 262.7, past the flat crossing with the former MoPac line from Little Rock coming from the northwest at MP Crossing (MP 268.8), where Yard Limits start, a spur from the Pine Bluff Arsenal trailing in from the west, the line's major maintenance facilities on the north side of the line at Pine Bluff Shops (MP 266.7), a turn northeast at a wye with a spur east to International Paper, Pine Bluff Yard (MP 264.2) on the southeast side, MP 263.2, where Yard Limits end, a spur from the Port of Pine Bluff trailing in from the north, a speed limit of 30 mph between MP 262.7 and MP 260.8, over the lift span at the Arkansas River Bridge (MP 261.2) after which it rises to 60 mph, a detector at MP 259.3, Rob Roy, and England Junction (MP 256.7), south end of the 8,556 ft. siding at Altheimer (MP 256.1), where the Little Rock Branch trails in from the northwest, with a speed limit of 45 mph between MP 256.2 and MP 255.5, where it rises to 70 mph.
