Reading to Perkiomen Junction

From the crossover and track separation at CP-Wyomissing Junction (MP 61.2), one line, single track, Rule 261, maximum speed 25 mph, passes CP-Valley Junction (MP 60.3/0.0), where the Reading Line departs to the north, and the line turns just east of due south, Two Main Tracks, Rule 261, maximum speed 30 mph, turning curvily southeast, bridging over the Schuylkill River, past CP Cumru (MP 11.0), where a connector turns north to CP Titus, and the other line, now current-of-traffic (Rule 251) eastward, bridging over the river again, past a former crossing with an erstwhile PRR line, and turning north, past Dyers Quarry (MP 16.7), bridging across the river again, past the start of a 10 mph speed restriction at MP 17.8, to Bird (MP 49.6).

The other line, double track, bridges over the track heading south from Valley Junction, the Schuylkill River, and an erstwhile PRR line, and turns just south of due east, with a 30 mph speed restriction from MP 59.7, to a wye at Center (MP 59.8), where another branch of the Reading Line heads north and the Harrisburg Line turns south, where the erstwhile Reading Station used to be, now single track, Rule 261, 10 mph speed restriction on the wye, past CP-Walnut (south apex of the wye), the site of the erstwhile Franklin Street Station (MP 58.1), MP 58.0, where the maximum speed rises to 30 mph, and MP 57.8, where it rises to 35 mph, turning east to CP Titus (MP 56.0), where a connector from the other line trails in and the line, now Double Track, current-of-traffic (Rule 251), maximum speed 35 mph to MP 55 and 50 mph thereafter, turns north, and then turns curvily southeast, past Loraine (MP 52.3), before turning east to Birds (MP 49.6), where the other line  an a line north from Joanna, trail in from the south (10 mph on the connector).

The line continues east, Double Track, current-of-traffic (Rule 251), maximum speed 50 mph, past Birdsboro (MP 49.5), turning curvily just south of due east, following the north bank of the river, past detectors at "Mona" (MP 46.9), a 45 mph speed restriction, from MP 45.7 to MP 45.3, Douglasville, a crossover at Tillys (MP 42.9), a 40 mph speed restriction, from MP 41.0 to MP 40.0, the junction with the Anthracite Railroad, on the north side, and the Pottstown Industrial Track, on the south side,  at CG (MP 40.8), the latter connecting with the 8,900 ft. south side siding and crossover at Pottstown (MP 40.5), and Sanatoga, turning south, with a 40 mph speed restriction, from MP 37.8 to MP 37.2, past a 45 mph speed restriction, from MP 36.7 to MP 36.5, and Limerick (MP 36.1), east-northeast, with a 40 mph speed restriction, from MP 35.5 to MP 34.0, past Linfield (MP 34.4), and just east of due south, all following the river, past Pennsfield and Royersford (MP 32.0).

There is a 40 mph speed restriction, from MP 32.0 to MP 31.0, as the line turns south, a crossover at Cromby (MP 30.6), where a line heads southwest, across the river, a 35 mph speed restriction, from MP 29.6 to MP 29.0, as the line bridges over the river, turning south-southeast and then south again, with a 30 mph speed restriction, from MP 29.0 to MP 27.4, through the Black Rock Tunnel, and turning east, beneath a bridge carrying a former PRR line overhead, and then east-southeast, past the crossovers at CP-Phoenix (MP 27.5), where Track 1 becomes Rule 261, maximum speed 50 mph, while Track 2 remains current-of-traffic (Rule 251), eastward, with a 40 mph speed restriction, and the junction with the Phoenixville Industrial Track, trailing in on the north side (Track 1) at Perkiomen Junction (MP 24.9).
