Shreveport to Gibsland

From Deramus Yard at Shreveport (MP 553.3), the Two Main Tracks, Automatic Block Signals, Yard Limits, speed limit 20 mph, heads southeast, with Cross Lake on the south side, turning south-southeast, and then just south of due east past the yard at Harriet Street (MP 556.3), and then east, under the bridge carrying the connector from the former Texas & Pacific Hollywood Yard, to the wye at MP 557.1, where the KCS Beaumont line turns away south, the end of ABS (on the Meridian line) and start of single track, Direct Traffic Control, unsignaled, turning just east of due north to the east leg of the wye trailing in from the south at North Wye Switch (MP 558.2), where the line turns north-northeast, and the junction with the UP (former Texas & Pacific) connection, trailing in on the north side.

The former connections to the erstwhile Shreveport Union Station once left on the east side at Jordan Street, and the line turns northeast past Wilsons Alley (MP 559.0), adjacent to the erstwhile station, a 10 mph speed restriction from MP 170.5 to MP 169.3, Spring Street Junction (MP 168.3), where a connector in the south quadrant turns away, a flat crossing with the former Cotton Belt at Commerce Street Crossing (MP 168.2), a bridge over the Red River, the former junction with an erstwhile connector to the Cotton Belt line north at SSW Crossing (MP 166.8), where the line turns east-northeast, the junction with the former Louisiana Railway & Navigation Company (now KCS) line southeast at Bossier City (MP 166.4), where the line turns east past the flat crossing with northwest quadrant connector, with the former Cotton Belt at East Bossier, and the end of Yard Limits at MP 165.1, where the speed limit becomes 49 mph (the maximum for dark territory).

There is a 2,250 ft. siding (MP 163.6 - MP 163.0) at Fosters (MP 163.4), Bodcau, a detector at MP 155.3, the 3,471 ft. siding (MP 154.0 - MP 153.3) at Haughton (MP 153.7), the  1,324 ft. east-facing spur for Progress Rail (MP 152.7), Wadley, the  3,007 ft. dual-ended spur on the north side at the (Louisiana) Army Ammunition Plant (MP 148.7), the 3,694 ft. siding (MP 148.3 - MP 147.4) at Doyline (MP 148.2), Duachite, the 8,600 ft. siding (MP 142.7 - MP 141.0) at Sibley (MP 141.4), with the 1,844 ft. dual-ended spur for Silica Sand (MP 141.7), the 580 ft. Sibley Team Track (MP 141.3), a former flat crossing and the 804 ft. west-facing connection on the north side, trailing in from the Minden Subdivision (MP 141.1), Dubberly (MP 138.5), a detector at MP 138.4, a jog northeast and then east again, the 2,984 ft. dual-ended spur at Ada (MP 132.4), the 3,392 ft. siding (MP 131.4 - MP 130.7) at Nelson (MP 131.2), the start of Yard Limits and a 20 mph head-end speed restriction at West Gibsland (MP 128.6), and the 3,409 ft. siding and flat crossing (20mph on the crossing) and junction with the Louisiana & Northwestern (the southerly part of which is now a KCS line) at Gibsland (MP127.2).
