Battle Creek to Jackson

From Depot ( GTW MP 175.8), where the Battle Creek passenger station is located, with the depot on the north side of the line, Rose (GTW MP 175.9), where  a former Michigan Central line once trailed in on the south side, after which the line turns east past Battle Creek (GTW MP 176.6) to Baron (GTW MP 176.7/MC MP 119.6), where the double track GTW line turns away east-northeast, with speed limit 30 mph on the south track (only) while the double track former Michigan Central continues ahead east, Two Main Tracks, CTC, ABS, with overall speed limit 79 mph for passenger trains, and 50 mph for freights, but local restriction 40 mph through the interlocking at Baron and to MP 117.7, past Post (MP 119.3), a turn east-northeast adjacent to the Kellogg Plant, the yard on the south side at Hinman (MP 118.9), a GTW connector heading north at the east end of the ayrd, where the line turns east, Ray (MP 117.8), where the line turns south-southeast, MP 117.7, where the speed restriction rises to 60/50, a turn east-southeast and the end of Two Main Tracks and start of single track, CTC, at CP Levitt (MP 116.3), where full line speeds prevail.

There is a passenger speed restriction of 60 mph between MP 114.3 and MP 113.3, where the line turns southeast, Ceresco,  a former Detroit, Toledo & Milwaukee line once came alongside to the south, a passenger speed restriction of 70 mph between MP 113.3 and MP 112.5, where the line and former right-of-way turn east, a detector at MP 107.6, a passenger speed restriction of 75 mph between MP 108.7 and MP 107.6, where the line turns east-northeast, leaving the former r-o-w behind, a passenger speed restriction of 60 mph between MP 107.6 and MP 106.8, as the line turns just south of due east, Marshall (MP 107.5), a passenger speed restriction of 75 mph between MP 106.8 and MP 104.5 as the line turns east again, a passenger speed restriction of 70 mph between MP 103.2 and MP 102.4 as the line turns east-northeast, past Marengo, and a passenger speed restriction of 70 mph between MP 99.3 and MP 96.2, as the line turns just south of due east

A 13,728 ft. Controlled Siding starts at CP 89 (MP 98.8), past a turn to the southeast, Hartung (MP 97.6), a turn east again, the end of the siding at CP Albion (MP 96.2), where a former Lake Shore & Michigan Southern line once crossed on the flat, a speed restriction of 40 mph between MP 96.2 and MP 94.5 as the line turns southeast and then northeast, a passenger speed restriction of 60 mph between MP 94.5 and MP 94.0 as the line turns southeast again, past Bath Mills, a passenger speed restriction of 70 mph between MP 94.0and MP 90.6 as the line turns east-southeast and then northeast, past Concord, a passenger speed restriction of 65 mph between MP 90.6 and MP 88.8, and a passenger speed restriction of 70 mph between MP 88.8 and MP 88.4, after which full line speeds prevail as the line turns east-northeast, past a detector at MP 87.7 and Parma (MP 86.2), a passenger speed restriction of 75 mph between MP 86.0 and MP 84.9, as the line turns curvily east, Sandstone, a passenger speed restriction of 70 mph between MP 82.3 and MP 81.8, anda passenger speed restriction of 75 mph between MP 81.8 and CP Hill

Two Main Tracks, CTC, start at CP Hill (MP 78.4), with a passenger speed restriction of 70 mph on Track 1 to MP 77.5, as the line turns east-northeast, and a speed restriction of 45 mph on both tracks between MP 77.5 and MP 74.0, as the line turns east-southeast and an erstwhile GTW line once trailed in from the north, and CP Jackson (MP 75.5), where there is a trailing connection on the north side with the former Michigan Central line from Lansing, coming from the north, which once had a connection to Grand Rapids, and the passenger depot is on the north side of the line, east of the junction.

In Battle Creek, the International/Blue Water splits off to take the Grand Trunk Western route to East Lansing, etc, while the Wolverine Service trains on this line continue on the former Michigan Central route to Jackson, etc.
