Argos to Fort Wayne

From the flat crossing (50 mph on the crossing) of the one time Indianapolis & Michigan City at Argos (MP 431.0), where there are connectors in the southeast and northeast quadrants, as well as 7,715 ft. west side and 7,720 ft. east side sidings, the main line heads just south of due east, single track, Automatic Block Signals, Traffic Control, maximum speed 60 mph for intermodal trains and 50 mph for other freight trains, past Tippecanoe, where it turns east-southeast, the 6,757 ft. siding at Clemer (MP 420.8), Mentone (MP 419.8), Burket (MP 415.9), and a 50  mph speed restriction on the curve between MP 411.5 and MP 411.2 as the line turns just south of due east again.

There is a 6,937 ft. siding at Claypool (MP 410.9), where there is a flat crossing (40 mph on the crossing) with northeast quadrant connector, with the Conrail (former Big Four) Elkhart to Marion line, a 50  mph speed restriction on curves between MP 407.1 and MP 406.0, through Packertown, the 9,885 ft. siding at Sidney (MP 403.3), a 50  mph speed restriction on the  curve between MP 399.8 and MP 399.5, as the line turns curvily east, a detector at "South Whitley" (MP 399.0), a 50  mph speed restriction on curves between MP 397.8 and MP 396.8, the 6,789 ft. siding at South Whitley (MP 397.2), where an erstwhile Wabash line once crossed on the flat, a 50 mph speed restriction on curves from MP 392.4 to MP 391.7, the 8,816 ft. siding at Peabody (MP 389.9), Reber (MP 386.9), the 6,771 ft. siding at Dunfee (MP 381.9), and a detector at "Hadley" (MP 379.6).

Two Main Tracks, ABS, TC start at Hadley (MP 377.4), past a 50 mph speed restriction from MP 377.4 to MP 373.6, a spur at Central Fine Pack (MP 377.0), a spur at Monarch Foods (MP 376.9), a spur at Pillsbury (MP 376.3), a spur at Fort Wayne Pools (MP 376.1), a turn east-northeast, a bridge over the former PRR Fort Wayne Line, a 30 mph speed restriction from MP 373.6 to NE, a turn east-southeast, the former location of the start of the Nickel Plate line south, the change to Double Track, ABS, current-of-traffic (Rule D-251) at Runnion Avenue (MP 372.9), where there is a wye on the south side with the former Nickel Plate line south to New Castle.

There is a flat crossing, within the wye, with the stubs of two former New York Central lines trailing in from the north at MP 372.7, connecting with that same former Nickel Plate line, the start of Yard Limits at MP 372.4, a turn just north of due east, Fort Wayne (MP 371.6), turns just south of due east, east-northeast, the end of Yard Limits at MP 367.3, the resumption of single track, ABS, TC, at Four Mile Road (MP 367.2), junction with the NS (former Wabash) Huntington District, trailing in from the south side at the west end of the East Wayne Yard, the TOFC Ramp track (MP 366.8), the yard at East Wayne (MP 366.3), a spur at Apex (MP 366.1), and the junction with the NS (former Wabash) line north to Detroit, at NE (MP 365.4).
