Horse Creek/South Morrill to O'Fallons

From the wye junction with the Yoder line at Horse Creek (MP 165.5), where the speed limit is 30 mph, the coal line turns east on the northeast leg of the wye, Two Main Tracks, CTC, speed limit 30 mph, past the east apex of the wye at Joyce (MP 164.1), where there are crossovers, crossovers at AJ (MP 162.1), and crossovers and the yard at South Morrill (MP 160.7 - MP 158.8), turning southeast past crossovers at Pelton (MP 157.0), where the speed limit has risen to 60 mph, South Mitchell, Haig, detectors at MP 150.8, Costin, and Hokamp (MP 147.8), where single track begins and the speed limit is 40 mph, turning just south of due east, just east of due south, and east-southeast, still along the south side of the North Platte River, past additional track at Gering (MP 145.9), where a branch once headed south, Brockhoff (MP 141.5), where 2MT resume, and the speed limit is back to 60 mph, Melbeta, detectors at MP 136.3, McGrew (MP 132.8), where another stretch of single track begins, South Bayard (MP 126.4), where 2MT resume, and a turn east-northeast, bridging across the North Platte River.

 The line turns east-southeast again, past Mohler (MP 123.4), where single track begins again, a detector at MP 121.6, North Bridgeport (MP 118.6), where 2MT begin again, additional track off Track 1 at Glover (MP 117.3), a connector north to the BNSF line just west of its Northport, the flat crossing with the BNSF Northport to Sterling line at BNSF Xing (MP 115.4), where the speed limit is 25 mph, the 6,884 ft. siding at Northport (MP 114.3 - MP 112.6), where the speed limit is back to 60 mph, crossovers at Towers (MP 109.0), detectors at MP 107.2, Kelly, Riley (MP 104.2), where a short stretch of single track begins, additional track at Broadwater (MP 100.6), Eastwood (MP 97.3), where 2MT resume, a detector on Track 1 at MP 91.1, Kuhn, Rettie (MP 88.1), where another short stretch of single track starts, additional track at Lisco (MP 86.4), Lytle (MP 82.1), where 2MT resume, detectors at MP 79.8, Penn, additional track off Track 1 at Oshkosh (MP 70.9), New Oshkosh (MP 66.8), where a stretch of single track begins, a detector at MP 65.0, the 8,504 ft. siding at Barton (MP 62.9 - MP 61.2), and additional track at Lewellen (MP 58.8).

There is a line divergence beginning where the track once continued just south of due east, following the North Platte River, under what is now Lake McConaughy and. now turns east, around the north shore of that lake, turning just south of due east again past Ruthton (MP 52.4), where 2MT resume, Belmar, detectors at MP 46.7, crossovers at Sand Creek (MP 45.5), Lemoyne, Arthur Bay, a turn to the east, additional track off Track 1 at Martin (MP 34.9), where the line leaves the lakeshore behind, crossovers at Martin Bay (MP 34.8), Kingsley, and detectors at MP 31.6, turning southeast past Keystone (MP 25.9), where single track resumes to Brogansville, where the original right-of-way is regained (trailing in from the west), and turning just south of due east past the 8,190 ft. siding at Nevens (MP 20.4 - MP 18.7).

The line turns south, bridging over the North Platte River, east past a detector at MP 17.4, North Paxton (MP 16.1), where 2MT resume, Sarben, crossovers at Jordan (MP 8.5), junction with a line south to the Nebraska Public Power Gerald Gentleman II Power Plant, Glenburnie and Coker, before turning south-southeast to the crossovers and wye junction with the Overland Route at O'Fallons (MP 1.0, for the connector back to the west, and MP 0.0), where the speed limit is 40 mph.
