From an interlocking with flat crossing and connectors? at Mead (MP 4.5), industrial tracks on both sides, and a turn south-southwest to C of G Junction (MP 5.6), where a wye on the west side gives access to a connector to the former C of G line, west of here, the line heads south, single track, Automatic Block Signals, Train Orders, maximum speed 60 mph for passenger trains and intermodal trains, 55 mph for other freight trains, past a 35 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 5.6 to MP 9.0, turning southwest, past the 25-car north-facing spur for White Brothers Furniture (MP 7.7), the 25-car north-facing spur for Institutional Wholesale (MP 7.8), and a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 9.0 to MP 13.9, just east of due south, past the 25-car south-facing spur for Bassett Furniture (MP 9.1), the 3-car south-facing spur for Best Block (MP 9.3), the 9-car south-facing spur for Packaging Corp. (MP 9.4), the 6-car north-facing spur for Mead Cop. (MP 9.4), the 10-car north-facing spur for B&L Poultry (MP 9.4), and the 6,882 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding), and 21-car spur, at Avondale (MP 10.6).

The line passes Elberia, a 30 mph restriction over street crossings, throgh Warner Robins from MP 15.0 to MP 17.0, and the 2,196 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding) and 67-car spur at Warner Robins (MP 16.0), turning south past the 15-car south-facing spur for Anchor Glass (MP 18.6), a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 19.3 to MP 23.0, the 20-car north-facing spur for Georgia Power (MP 19.6), the 37-car dual-ended spur for Bonaire (MP 21.3), and the 18-car south-facing spur for Houston Fertilizer & Grain (MP 22.0), and just west of due south, past a 50 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 23.0 to MP 30.8, a detector at "Bonaire" (MP 24.3), the 20-car north-facing spur for Kathleen (MP 24.9), the lead for Frito-Lay (MP 26.2), the 10,847 ft. siding at Mossy (MP 27.0), a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 30.8 to MP 32.0, the 2,306 ft. siding and 155-car spur at Clinchfield (MP 30.9), in Yard Limits.

There is a 40 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 32.0 to MP 35.2, as the line curves south, southwest, south to the 4,743 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding) and 7-car spur at Grovania (MP 34.9), where there was once a flat crossing with the erstwhile Ocilla Southern Railroad, southwest, with a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 35.2 to MP 39.0, south-southwest, past the 8-car south-facing spur for Elko (MP 38.0) and a detector at MP 38.7, curvily south, with a 40 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 39.0 to MP 42.0, , southwest and then just west of due south, with a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 42.0 to MP 45.0, past a 40 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Unadilla, from MP 43.0 to MP 45.0, the 1,146 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding) and 12-car spur at Unadilla (MP 43.9), the 5-car north-facing spur for Custom Farm Service (MP 45.0), Dooty, the 11,850 ft. siding (20 mph on the siding, MP 46.1 to MP 48.5) at Walker (MP 47.0), the 7-car north-facing spur for Pinehurst (MP 48.8), the 7-car north-facing spur for FMX (MP 48.9), Findlay, and a detector at "Findlay" (MP 51.8).

The line turns south, with a 45 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Vienna, from MP 55.5 to MP 56.5, past the 68-car spur at Vienna (MP 56.2), which connects west to the former Atlanta, Birmingham & Coast, the 50-car south-facing spur for Georgia Pacific (MP 57.4), Richwood, a 25 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Cordele, from MP 63.7 to MP 66.3, the flat crossings (25 mph on the crossing), with a northwest quadrant connector with the first, with two CSX lines (the former AB&C and a former Georgia Southwestern line), and the 13,728 ft. siding (25 mph on the siding, MP 63.7 to MP 66.3) and yard at Cordele (MP 64.5), where there are Yard Limits, a 25 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 64.6 to MP 64.8, and Wenona.

There is a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 69.9 to MP 70.2, a turn just east of due south, the 6,930 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding) and 15-car spur at Arabi (MP 74.6), a detector at "Arabi" (MP 76.1), Sibley, Dakota, a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 81.2 to MP 82.8, Worth, a 40 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 82.8 to MP 84.1, a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 84.1 to MP 88.3, a 30 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Ashburn, from MP 84.5 to MP 85.7, the 3,933 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding) and 30-car spur at Ashburn (MP 84.8), where the erstwhile Hawkinsville & Florida Southern Railway once crossed at an angle, the 45-car north-facing spur for Turner County Industrial Park (MP 86.6), a detector at MP 87.0, a 30 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Sycamore, from MP 87.0 to MP 88.0, and the 11,959 ft. siding and 25-car spur at Sycamore (MP 87.5).

The line starts to curve, with a 40 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 88.3 to MP 89.9, and a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 89.9 to MP 105.2, past Inaha, Cyclonetta, the 4,483 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding) and 11-car spur at Chula (MP 98.1), the 30-car north-facing spur for Reeves (MP 98.3), a detector at MP 101.3, a 30 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Tifton, from MP 105.0 to MP 106.0, and the 1,646 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding) and yard at Tifton (MP 105.2), where there are Yard Limits, and there were once crossings with erstwhile AB&C and Atlantic Coast Line lines, a 35 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 105.2 to MP 105.4, and a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 105.4 to MP 112.0, the 18-car north-facing spur at South Tifton (MP 107.3), the 15-car north-facing spur at Tifton County Industrial Park (MP 107.8), and Eldorado.

There is a detector at "Lenox" (MP 115.6), a 45 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Lenox (MP 118.0), the 28-car dual-ended spur at Lenox (MP 118.1), the 10,256 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding) at Osgood (MP 121.4), the Remote Controlled flat crossing with a Georgia & Florida line, and 50-car spur at Sparks (MP 125.5), a detector at MP 126.1, a 45 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Adel, from MP 126.5 to MP 128.5, the 2,801 ft. siding (10 mph on the siding) and yard at Adel (MP 127.7), where there are Yard Limits and a junction with the Live Oak, Perry & Georgia Railroad, on the west side, the 12-car north-facing spur at Atlantic Creosote  (MP 132.8), Cecil, a 45 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Hahira, from MP 138.0 to MP 138.5, the 15-car spur at Hahira (MP 138.1), the 10-car north-facing spur for Scruggs Concrete (MP 142.7), and the 12,262 ft. siding and 80-car spur at Mineola (MP 144.2).

The line begins to curve again, with a 45 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 146.2 to MP 148.8 and a 40 mph speed restriction over street crossings, through Valdosta, from MP 147.8 to MP 152.2, past a detector at "Valdosta" (MP 148.7), a 40 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 148.8 to MP 151.0, a 15 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 151.0 to MP 151.5, for the flat crossing with the CSX (former ACL) Montgomery to Waycross line, and the wye junction (MP 151.3) where the main line turns east-northeast, a subsidiary line continues south-southeast, and a Georgia & Florida line makes flat crossings with both lines, with the main line now passing the erstwhile station at Valdosta (MP 151.6), where there are Yard Limits, which continue past a 25 mph speed restriction on curves, from MP 151.5 to MP 152.4 as the line turns just south of due east, to the yard at Langdale Yard (MP 153.0).
