Saginaw to Metro Junction

From Saginaw (MP 353.9), where  the former Rock Island turns north-northwest and makes a flat crossing, and both the single track former MKT and two track former Fort Worth & Denver make flat crossings (for a total of four lines making flat crossings), with a connector in the northeast quadrant (coming alongside to the east before trailing in), and a bridge over a culvert, with a very large grain elevator alongside the lines to the northeast of the flat crossings and a second very large grain elevator on the west side, north of the former FW&D, the former Santa Fe line continues north, single track, CTC, with speed limit 25 mph at the flat crossings, rising to 55 mph to their north, past a grade crossing, CP 3548 (MP 354.8), south apex of a large wye on the west side with a connector west to the former FW&D, CP 3556 (MP 355.6), north apex of the wye and start of the 12,570 ft. west side siding, with a grade crossing in the siding,  crossovers at Lake Wanda (MP 356.9), a bridge over drainage within the siding, CP 3583 (MP 358.3), north end of the siding, a grade crossing, dual road bridges overhead, a detector at MP 358.5, a grade crossing, a bridge over drainage, and the 6,961 ft. east side siding at West Haslet (MP 360.9), where Two Main Tracks, CTC, start, with Track 1, to the west heading north and Track 2, to the east, turning north-northeast.

Track 1 turns north-northeast at West IMF (MP 362.2) and/or West Alliance (MP 362.5), the south end of Alliance Yard, where a 14,635 ft. siding starts, the switching yard is on the west side and the intermodal yard to its east, all of which end at East Alliance (MP 364.6) or CP 3663 (MP 366.3). Track 2 passes a road bridge overhead within the siding, a bridge over a stream (MP 361.9), a grade crossing within the siding, Haslet, CP 3624 (MP 362.4), where the West Haslet siding on the east side ends, the eight-track Alliance Auto ramp on the east side of the line, a grade crossing, and East Haslet (MP 364.4), followed by a road bridge overhead and a divided highway grade crossing. From a Heartland Flyer on Track 2, the tall light towers that mark the location of the Alliance Yard can be seen to the west, but the yard itself is not visible from the train. There is a freight airport located to the east of Track 2 along here, used by Ross Perot's enterprises.

The tracks come back together, and turn just east of due north, past a bridge over a stream, a bridge over a road, Intermediate Signals, a grade crossing, a bridge over drainage, a dirt road grade crossing, a gated dirt road grade crossing, a bridge over drainage, and a grade crossing,  reducing to single track, CTC, at Lambert (MP 368.5), with a dirt road to the east, Justin Cemetery to the east, a bridge over a stream, the 6,678 ft. east side siding at Justin (MP 370.6), with three grade crossings and a bridge over drainage at MP 371.12, within the siding, a bridge over a stream, a bridge over drainage, a dirt road grade crossing, two bridges over streams, two dirt road grade crossings, two grade crossings, a bridge over a stream, a detector at MP 375.1, a bridge over a stream, a grade crossing, a bridge over drainage, the 7,898 ft. east side siding at Ponder (MP 377.3), with three grade crossings in the siding, extra track to the east, and a grade crossing where the line turns north-northeast, all within the siding.

There are two bridges over drainage, a dirt track to the east, a bridge over a stream, an embankment, a bridge over a stream, a road bridge overhead, a dirt road grade crossing, a bridge over a stream, MP 383, a dirt road grade crossing, a grade crossing, a bridge over drainage, Krum (MP 383.5), a dirt track grade crossing, a grade crossing, West Wye (MP 385.6), the west apex of a wye on the east side with the former Santa Fe (now Kansas City Southern) line south-southeast into Dallas, and Metro (MP 387.6), where the east leg of that wye trails in from the south and the line turns northeast with an 8,179 ft. east side siding immediately north of the wye.
