Q Tower to Vincennes

At Q Tower (MP 281.0), the TRRA Yard Limits single track line coming northeast from M&O Junction (and the TRRA CTC single track line coming north from Trendley Avenue)  join with the Two Main Tracks, Traffic Control System, line northeast from the TRRA MacArthur Bridge District, where a number of lines coming east from the river bank used to cross at grade, and today's line splits into a TRRA line heading north-northwest to Bridge Junction, a TRRA line heading north-northeast (the Eads Conologue District), a Gateway Eastern (formerly PRR) line heading northeast and a CSX (formerly B&O) line heading northeast, all past the former location of Relay station just north of Q Tower.

The connection to the former B&O takes the TRRA Eads Conologue line along the west side of the erstwhile Relay station, and then the connector in the southeast quadrant of the flat crossing with the line east from the erstwhile B&O Yard, past the flat crossing and north quadrant connector with the former PRR at K Tower (MP 335.5),before turning east-northeast along the south side of that former PRR line, single track, Yard Limits, maximum speed 10 mph, past the erstwhile Cone Yard (MP 335.0) on both sides, Exchange Avenue (MP 334.4), Willows (MP 334.1), where there are flat crossing with the  NS (former Southern Venice & Carondelet Belt) and TRRA line from Valley Junction to Madison, the line turns just north of due east, still with the former PRR alongside to the north, and a short stretch of CTC starts, with the maximum speed rising to 60 mph.

There is a flat crossing and southwest quadrant connector with the  double track Alton & Southern line from Granite City to Gateway Yard, at HN Cabin (MP 331.1), the end of Yard Limits, and start of Direct Traffic Control and the Casey Block at MP 329.6, where the line turns east-southeast, away from the former PRR, Black Lane (MP 329.4), Caseyville, a turn just east of due south, with a 30 mph speed restriction from MP 328.1 to MP 324.4, east, south, southeast, south, and then just south of due east, past Furman, the 7,250 ft. north side siding at Carbon (MP 321.0), the end of the Casey Block and start of the Avis Block at MP 320.7, a former flat crossing with an erstwhile L&N line, and O'Fallon (MP 320.2), where there was once a flat crossing with the erstwhile Illinois Terminal interurban line.

The line turns somewhat curvily east, past Lebanon, a detector at "Summerfield" (MP 311.2), Summerfield, the 6,000 ft. south side siding at Trenton (MP 307.8), the 7,200 ft. south side siding at Aviston (MP 303.8), the end of the Avis Block and start of the Meyer Block at MP 303.2, the 4,560 ft. north side siding at Breese (MP 299.9), MP 298.2, where the Meyer Block ends and the Odin Block starts, a through truss bridge at MP 297.48, the 3,400 ft. south side siding at Beckemeyer (MP 294.4), the 3,050 ft. south side siding/spur at Carlyle (MP 290.7), a detector at "Huey" (MP 288.0), Huey, Ferrin, the 4,150 ft. south side siding and signaled flat crossing with the BN (former CB&Q) southern Illinois coal line, at Shattuc (MP 281.2), Sandoval (MP 277.2), where there was once a flat crossing with the erstwhile IC "main line" from Centralia to Freeport, and the angled flat crossing and northwest quadrant connector with the double track IC "Chicago Branch" and 8,800 ft. north side siding at Odin (MP 273.5), where the Odin Block ends and the Iuka Block starts.

There is a flat crossing with the UP (former C&EI line to southern Illinois) at Salem (MP 267.8), a detector at "Bannister" (MP 263.0), the 4,300 ft. south side siding at Iuka (MP 259.4), and MP 259.1, where the Iuka Block ends and the Flora Block starts, before the line turns just north of due east past Greendale, a bridge over the IC Edgewood Cutoff, Xenia (MP 250.9), Kenner, the end of the Flora Block and start of Yard Limits at MP 244.8, a 45 mph speed restriction through Flora, from MP 243.6 to MP 241.4, the 11,500 ft. south side siding at Flora (MP 242.5),  where there are junctions (a curve away on the north side and a wye on the south side) with the Flora Branch (subs of erstwhile much longer B&O branches), the end of Yard Limits and start of the Noble Block at MP 240.8, and a detector at "Flora" (MP 239.1).

The line turns a bit less to the north, past Clay City, east and then just north of due east again, past  the 8,650 ft. south side siding at Noble (MP 228.0), MP 227.8, where the Noble Block ends and the Clare Block starts, Higgins, the flat crossing with the former IC Evansville line (now run by a shortline) and the 3,300 ft. north side siding at Olney (MP 220.3), east past a detector at "Olney" (MP 215.9), the 5,050 ft. south side siding at Claremont (MP 214.1), MP 213.2, where the Clare Block ends and the Bridge Block starts, and Sumner (MP 208.2), just south of due east, just north of due east past Bridgeport (MP 202.5), where the Oblong & Bridgeport once trailed in from the north, and the 6,550 ft. north side siding at Lawrenceville (MP 198.5), where an erstwhile former Big Four line once crossed on the flat.

There is a 40 mph speed restriction through Lawrenceville, from MP 198.5 to MP 198.0, MP 198.4, where the Bridge Block ends and the Beman Block starts, a through truss bridge at MP 197.44a turn just south of due east, the 7,250 ft. south side siding at Beman (MP 193.5), the end of the Beman Block and start of Yard Limits at MP 192.6, a turn southeast, a detector at "Vincennes" (MP 190.8), a through truss bridge over the Wabash River (MP 189.34) from Illinois into Indiana, a 25 mph speed restriction through Vincennes, from MP 189.3 to MP 186.0, a turn curvily east, and the signaled flat crossings with the double track former C&EI line to Evansville, and 2,900 ft. south side siding at Vincennes (MP 188.5).
