Eau Claire to Wyeville

From Yukon Junction (MP 87.1), where Yard Limits start, and Eau Claire (MP 87.2), the line turns east-southeast, single track, Yard Limits, Automatic Block Signals, maximum speed 40 mph, past the start of double track (maximum speed 30 mph) at MP 89.6, the yard at Altoona (MP 90.7), the end of Yard Limits at Altoona Junction (MP 93.3), where single track, Track Warrant Control, maximum speed 30 mph, begins, southeast, past an east-facing spur at Fall Creek (MP 99.5), south-southeast, past  the 10,201 ft. siding at Rodell (MP 103.9), southeast, past an east-facing spur at Augusta (MP 109.5), south-southeast past a former flat crossing with the erstwhile Fairchild & Northeastern Railway, which also has a connection trailing in on the east side, and south, past a west-facing spur at Fairchild (MP 118.8), where a branch to the west once headed away.

The line heads curvily south, past a detector at MP 123.3, just east of due south, past an east-facing spur at Humbird (MP 125.7), the wye junction with an erstwhile spur, on the east side, and the 11,891 ft. siding and flat crossing (30 mph on the crossing) with the Fox River Valley at Merrillan (MP 131.6), just west of due south and then just east of due south, past  an east-facing spur on the west side at Black River Falls (MP 142.8) and an east-facing spur on the east side at Levis (MP 144.3), and turning southeast at Sheppard, past the 10,211 ft. siding at Millston (MP 155.7), an east-facing spur at Warren (MP 164.1), a detector at MP 168.2, the 10,060 ft. siding at Valley (MP 171.2), where there was one a flat crossing with an erstwhile Milwaukee Road line, a 25 mph speed restriction, from MP 173.4 to MP 173.6, and the 4,000 ft. siding at Wyeville (MP 173.5), where a line trails in from the west, the Camp Douglas Industrial Lead continues southeast, and the main line turns east.
