Bald Knob to Memphis

From the wye junctions (with speed limit of 10 mph on the wye) at MP 288.5 and 287.9 (both at Bald Knob) on the Little Rock to Poplar Bluff line with the line east to Memphis, used by both UP and BNSF, the latter heads just south of due east, single track, CTC, speed limit 60 mph once clear of the wye, past the east apex of the wye at East Bald Knob (MP 288.4), Worden, a detector at MP 292.5, additional track at Rio Vista (MP 292.8), a 30 mph speed restriction from MP 298.2 to MP 298.6 for the bridge over the eponymous river at White River (MP 298.3), a 40 mph speed restriction from MP 298.6 to MP 299.1, the 6,280 ft. south side siding at New Augusta (MP 300.0 - MP 301.3), where a shortline from Augusta once trailed in from the north, a 30 mph speed restriction from MP 306.5 to MP 306.8, Cavel, Jenks, additional track at Patterson (MP 307.3), where an erstwhile Rock Island line once crossed, additional track at McCrory (MP 309.3), where another shortline once headed north, a detector at MP 315.2, and Morton.

There is a flat crossing (30 mph on the crossing) with the former Cotton Belt main line at MP 318.9, an 8,197 ft. south side siding at Fair Oaks (MP 320.9), additional track at Hamlin (MP 324.7), the 8,649 ft. north side siding at Wynne (MP 330.5 - MP 332.3), a 40 mph speed restriction from MP 331.8 to MP 334.8, including the flat crossing with the former Iron Mountain (later MoPac) line at MP 332.4, a 50 mph speed restriction from MP 334.8 to MP 336.1 for the curvy turn Northeast, past additional track at Levesque (MP 337.5), a turn just north of due east past a detector at MP 341.0, Princedale, and McDonald, where an erstwhile Cotton Belt branch once joined from the north, a 50 mph speed restriction from MP 345.5 to MP 346.4, for the jog southeast and then east past the 7,656 ft. north side siding at Smithdale (MP 347.5 - MP 349.1), and a turn just north of due east past additional track at Earle (MP 352.1), where shortlines once headed both north and south.

The line turns east, just east of due south past a detector at MP 357.5 and Lansing, east-southeast past the 9,901 ft. south side siding at Crawfordsville (MP 359.6 - MP 361.8), Vincent, at the west end of the Marion intermodal facility alongside to the south, a 40 mph speed restriction from MP 367.7 to MP 368.2 at the east end of that facility, additional track at Gavin (MP 368.0), the junction with the West Memphis Industrial Lead on the south side at MP 370.0, the flat crossing with the former Frisco at Presley Junction (MP 370.0), Plainton and Almont.

At Briark Junction (MP 375.3), where a 25 mph speed restriction starts, the former Cotton Belt line from Brinkley (which used to continue to Hopefield on the west bank of the Mississippi, where there was a ferry crossing) trails into the south side of the line, which turns southeast, and Two Main Tracks, CTC, start (20 mph on the turnout), for the Arkansas & Memphis Terminal & Bridge Company, a spur from CPS Chemical trailing in from the south, the flat crossing with the former Frisco line from Jonesboro, Springfield, MO, and Kansas City, at Bridge Junction (MP 375.9), with both lines then turning south-southeast, a crossover at Harahan, a crossover at CP-377.9, the through truss Hanahan Bridge (MP 376.5) over the Mississippi River, a turn just north of due east, a connection to the former Frisco, running parallel on the south side, at Kansas Street, the speed restriction falling to 20 mph, Kentucky Street (MP 378.1), (end-on) junction with the Seaboard System, a crossover, a junction with the Union Railway on the south side, Florida Street, where there is another junction with the former Frisco, a turn to the east, and a flat crossing with the Illinois Central north-south line at Old Tower 17 (MP 378.3), end-on junction with the former Southern, with the Seaboard and Southern line continuing east, alongside one another.
