Paola to Wagoner (former M-K-T)

From the junction with the northwest quadrant connector from the BNSF (and its former M-K-T trackage rights) at Paola (MP 43.3), the bridge over Bull Creek, and the split between the former M-K-T Parsons sub., on the east side, and the continuing Coffeyville sub., on the west side, just south of the bridge, the Parsons sub heads south-southeast, single track, CTC, speed limit 60 mph, past the 8,752 ft. east side siding at Ringer (MP 44.9 - MP 46.7), Bangor, Beagle (MP 54.6), where CTC ends in favor of Track Warrant Control, Automatic Block Signals, and a detector at MP 54.6, turning southwest, just east of due south, south-southwest past Parker (MP 61.6), south past Goodrich and the 8,726 ft. east side siding at Dunlay (MP 66.8), southwest past Centerville (MP 70.0), where there is a 40 mph speed restriction, just west of due south past Catwood, just south of due west past VAnce and a detector at MP 75.5, where the speed limit is back to 60 mph, and southwest past Selma, where an erstwhile MoPac line once crossed.

The line turns south, just west of due south past the 6,178 ft. east side siding at Kincaid (MP 82.8), where another erstwhile MoPac line once crossed, south past Mildred and Bayard, just east of due south past a detector at MP 89.1, just west of due south, south past the 6,185 ft. west side siding at Moran (MP 94.7), where an erstwhile M-K-T line once headed west and then another erstwhile MoPac line once crossed, Elsmore (MP 103.4), a detector at MP 107.2, Savonburg, and Stark, south-southwest past the 6,050 ft. west side siding at Kimball (MP 112.6), south past the former crossing of an erstwhile Santa Fe line, the 8,216 ft. east side siding at Erie (MP 120.6), a detector at MP 124.5, and Hertha, south-southwest past Dudley, south past Hayden, south-southwest at Cross, where an erstwhile M-K-T line once trailed in from the north-northeast, and just east of due south where another erstwhile M-K-T line once trailed in from the north-northwest, past the yard at Parsons (MP 136.2/386.0), where the M-K-T Shops once were, there were once flat crossings with erstwhile Frisco and Union Traction (interurban) lines, an erstwhile M-K-T line once headed away south-southwest, and  there is a 20 mph speed restriction in yard limits from MP 134.6 to MP 387.1, after which TWC, ABS and the 60 mph speed limit resume.

There is a turn south-southeast, past Gavin, where an erstwhile line from the erstwhile Kansas Army Ammunition Plant once trailed in from the north and an erstwhile M-K-T line once headed east, and the 9,477 ft. east side siding (10 mph on the siding) at LaBette (MP 394.2), a turn just west of due south past the flat crossing (30 mph on the crossing) with the former Frisco at Oswego (MP 400.8), and a speed restriction of 45 mph between MP 401.3 and MP 401.5, a turn just east of due south past the former flat crossing with the erstwhile Southeast Kansas Railroad (50 mph on the crossing, when it was there) and 4,261 ft. west side siding (10 mph on the siding) at Chetopa (MP 410.2), the border between Kansas and Oklahoma, Russell Creek, a detector at MP 416.0, Ranchers, the 7,830 ft. west side siding (20 mph on the siding) at Welch (MP 421.4), and Blue Jacket, a turn south-southwest past Kelso, the 4,568 ft. west side siding (10 mph on the siding) at Winders (MP 438.0), and the flat crossing with the former Frisco Tulsa to Springfield line at Vinita (MP 438.8).

The line very slowly curves south, as it passes the 8,889 ft. east side siding (20 mph on the siding) at Keele (MP 442.0), Big Cabin, a detector at MP 446.9, Patton, the 7,495 ft. east side siding at Adair (MP 454.4), [old] Pryor, the 8,741 ft. east side siding (20 mph on the siding) at Pryor (MP 468.2), with two spurs east into the Pryor Industrial Area, Choteau, the 4,961 ft. west side siding at Mazie (MP 477.7), a detector at MP 477.9, a detector at MP 486.1, Le Baetta, and the flat crossing with east quadrant and west quadrant connectors with the UP (former Iron Mountain, later MoPac) line at Wagoner (MP 488.2).
