Wagoner/Muskogee to Denison

From the flat crossing with east quadrant and west quadrant connectors with the UP (former Iron Mountain, later MoPac) line at Wagoner (MP 488.2), the former M-K-T line heads south, single track, CTC, speed limit 55 mph, with local speed restriction 25 mph, past MP 489.2, where the local speed restriction ends, turning just east of due south past Gibson, AU Junction (MP 496.0), where a connector from Okay Junction on the former MoPac (MP 493.8) trails in from the north-northeast, providing another possible route from Wagoner, Okay, a bridge over the Verdigris River, and UX Junction (MP 497.4), where Two Main Tracks, CTC start, turning just west of due south past the 8,412 ft. siding at Chase (MP 498.6), where there is a wye on the west side and a line heads away on the west side, a bridge over the Arkansas River, and Port Conn., where there is a spur on the east side to the Port of Muskogee on that river, followed by a crossover.

The line turns south-southwest, where single track resumes and an erstwhile MoPac line once headed away west, past the yard on the west side at Muskogee (MP 501.8), where there is a 20 mph speed restriction in the yard limits from MP 501.8 to MP 503.9, with a wye on the west side at its south end,  the former location of two erstwhile flat crossings with erstwhile MoPac and Frisco lines and an extant wye on the east side with spurs to Shopton and Fort Howard Paper, a detector at MP 507.4, Summit, the 8,302 ft. east side siding at Whitman (MP 515.0 - MP 516.7),  Oklaha, a speed restriction of 25 mph between MP 519.0 and MP 520.3, Rentiesville, additional track at Chepotah (MP 524.6) and a detector at Onapa (MP 529.8), as the line turns just west of due south, a long bridge heading south-southwest over Eufala Lake, turning just east of due south past additional track at Eufala (MP 538.1), south and then south-southwest across another long bridge over Eufala Lake.

There is a 9,892 ft. west side siding at Canadian (MP 547.2 - MP 549.3), and the line turns south to Crowder, where the erstwhile Fort Smith & Western Railroad once crossed, just west of due south, bridging over another arm of Eufala Lake and passing Reams, a detector at MP 557.1, and Mekko, turning south past North McAlester, where a spur trails in on the east side, a speed restriction of 25 mph between MP 563.6 and MP 564.2, the 11,226 ft. west side siding at McAlester (MP 563.7 - MP 564.8), where the overall speed limit rises to 60 mph, with a 25 mph speed restriction between MP 564.2 and MP 566.7, and the flat crossing with northeast and southeast quadrant connectors with the UP (former Rock Island Memphis to Tucumcari line, which now only reaches the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant on the west side and Hevaner on the east side) at MP 565.9, and turning just west of due south past Frink, and the 8,529 ft. west side siding at Navy (MP 572.6 to MP 574.4), where an erstwhile spur once headed west to the Ammunition Plant.

A short branch once headed east at Savanna, followed by the 8,900 ft. east side siding at Kiowa (MP 581.1 - MP 582.9), where there was once another short branch on the east side, Reynolds, where an erstwhile Rock Island line once crossed, a detector at MP 588.3, Gap, the 8,852 ft. west side siding at Burg (MP 593.2 - MP 595.0), Flora, the 9,109 ft. east side siding at Stringtown (MP 602.6 - MP 604.5), a turn south-southwest, additional track at Ethan Allen (MP 607.0), a detector at MP 607.9, additional track at Atoka (MP 609.6), where a branch once headed west, Tushika, Cook, a detector at MP 621.4, Taloah, Caney, the 8,710 ft. east side siding at Caddo (MP 630.4 - MP 632.1), a detector at MP 633.8, a turn southwest, Armstrong, a turn south-southwest, a 40 mph speed restriction between MP 641.0 and MP 645.2, a former flat crossing with an erstwhile Kansas, Oklahoma & Gulf line, and the flat crossing with the Kiamichi Railroad (former Frisco) and 9,233 ft. east side siding at Durant (MP 641.2 - MP 643.1).

The line turns southwest, past additional track at Calera (MP 646.1), the 9,636 ft. east side siding at Olive (MP 648.1 - MP 650.1), a detector at MP 653.3, the junction with the former Frisco line south from Tulsa at BNSF North Junction (MP 655.9), where the speed limit has dropped to 50 mph and the line turns south-southwest over the bridge across the Red River, crossing from Oklahoma into Texas, the junction with the former Frisco line south to Dallas at BNSF South Junction (MP 656.2), where the line turns south with the former Frisco alongside to the east, the junction with an erstwhile M-K-T line south to Dallas at Joe Junction (MP 657.2), where the line turns south-southwest, additional track trailing in on the west side at Red Dam Spur (MP 658.0), a turn to the west, and then south-southwest again, to the wye on the southeast side with the former M-K-T line (now the Texas Northeastern) south to Sherman and into Denison, and the 9,355 ft. siding at Ray (MP 660.9, where the speed limit is 60 mph, to MP 662.9, where it is 30 mph), where the line turns west, with Ray Yard on the south side, and then northwest at the west end of the yard at South Lead Ray (MP 663.7).
