Fort Wayne to Montpelier

From the junction with the former Nickel Plate line from Chicago, trailing in on the north side at East Wayne/New Haven (MP 140.9 and MP 140.7), and the junction with the former Nickel Plate line to Bellevue at NE (MP 140.5), the Huntington District line reduces to single track, Traffic Control (CTC), maximum speed 60 mph, with local restriction 25 mph on the switches and connection tracks at NE, and 50 mph to MP 140.1, heading just east of due north, past the 5,397 ft. siding at Grabill (MP 130.6), a detector at "Grabill" (MP 127.8), the 5,784 ft. siding at Spencerville (MP 125.3), and the flat crossing with the former B&O Chicago main line at St. Joe (MP 122.7), turning north-northeast, where an erstwhile Wabash line once trailed in from the southwest, over the 8,160 ft. siding and flat crossing with the Water-level Route at Butler (MP 114.9), with a 50 mph speed restriction over the crossing and on the curve from MP 114 to MP 113.7, past the spur at Tri-Wall (MP 113.3), and northeast, past Artic, the border between Indiana and Ohio, the 4,848 ft. siding at Blakesley (MP 104.4), and a detector at "Blakesley" (MP 102.4), before turning east-northeast, where a former Wabash line trails in from the west-southwest and Two Main Tracks, TC (CTC) start, with a 40 mph speed restriction on the turnout, to the yard at Montpelier (MP 97.4).
