Litchfield to Decatur

From the spur at Litchfield (MP 436.5), where there is a 50 mph speed restriction, the former CB&Q turns away just west of due north, and the erstwhile IC line once continued north, the former Wabash turns north-northeast, single track, Track Warrant Control, Automatic Block Signals, maximum speed 60 mph, past Honey Bend and a detector at MP 431.0, turning northeast past a spur at Raymond (MP 425.5), the 14,450 ft. siding at Midway (MP 423.6), a spur at Harvel (MP 422.2), a detector at MP 419.2, a spur at Morrisonville (MP 416.2), a spur at Palmer (MP 412.4), a detector at MP 409.4, Clarksdale, the 16,690 ft. siding at Taylorville (MP 401.6), where a Chicago & Illinois Midland line trails in from the west, there was once a flat crossing with an erstwhile B&O line, and there is a spur on the west side for an ADM plant.

The line continues northeast, past Willeys (MP 399.2), a detector at MP 397.4, a spur at Stonington (MP 395.3), a spur at Blue Mound (MP 389.8), a detector at MP 387.7, Boody (MP 383.9), where an erstwhile B&O line once trailed in from the west, BD Junction (MP 381.0), the start of Two Main Tracks, Traffic Control (CTC) at Knights (MP 379.2), and a turn north-northeast to the junction at Mosser (MP 376.5), where there is a 25 mph speed restriction, the former Wabash Kansas City line trails in from the west, single track, TC, there are crossovers, and the line turns east, Two Main Tracks, TC, past the erstwhile Wabash passenger station, the flat crossing with the Illinois Central at Wabic (MP 375.6), with connectors in the northwest, northeast and southeast quadrants, where the speed restriction drops to 15 mph (for the crossing and to its east), the line becomes single track, TC, again, the former B&O Decatur Yard on the south side and a junction with the former B&O line to Indianapolis, as the former Wabash turns east-northeast, and the former Wabash car shops on the north side and a connection to an IC line on the south side, at the west end of the former Wabash Decatur Yard (MP 375.0).
