Chili Junction to Fairport (Rochester)

There are crossovers at CP 382 (Chili Junction, MP 382.6), where the line to Rochester turns northeast and the former West Shore freight bypass continues eastward. A 10,100 ft. siding starts at CP 382, and the line passes a grade crossing, Chili (MP 381.8), a road bridge overhead, crossovers at CP 380 (MP 380.4), MP 379, two grade crossings, Intermediate Signals at MP 378.x, two road bridges overhead, detectors at "Coldwater, NY", Coldwater (MP 378.0), a road bridge overhead, a bridge over a divided highway, extra track on the north side, Intermediate Signals at MP 376.x, the Erie Canal passing below, Intermediate Signals at MP 374.x, and the through truss Rochester & Southern bridge overhead. The 27,984 Charlotte Running Track, on the north side, starts at the crossovers at CP 373 (MP 373.2), where there is a spur heading away north and the line turns east-northeast with a spur trailing in from the southwest, and the line passes a bridge over a road, extra track on the south side, a signal bridge, a bridge over a road, and a rail-served industry on the south side, with the track trailing in. 

The speed limit drops to 50-35 at MP 372.2, past a bridge over a road, an out-of-service rail bridge just to the south over the same road as a bridge over a road, a bridge over a road, an adjacent through truss bridge over the same road as a through truss bridge over a road, two lines once departed to the north, a bridge over a highway, a bridge over a road, and a through truss bridge over a road. The line crosses the Genesee River, passes an industrial track heading off to the north to MP 371.7, where the speed limit rises to 50-45, two bridges over roads, Rochester (MP 371.0), the elevated passenger station with a platform and umbrella shed and a modernistic/prefab depot on the south side, two bridges over roads, a turn southeast at MP 370.0, where the speed limit rises to 65-45, a bridge over a road, crossovers with signal bridges at CP 369 (MP 369.9), a spur trailing in on the south side, a road bridge overhead, a signal bridge at Rochester Yard (MP 369.6), where there is an 8-track yard to the north and was once a yard on the south side of the line, MP 369.6, where the speed limit rises to 79-70-60-50, a bridge over a road, a formerly rail-served industry on the south side, a bridge over a road, three extra tracks on the south side at CP 367 (Brighton, MP 367.9), where there is a signal bridge, the long siding ends and a line to Canandaigua once headed south, highway ramps above and below at "the spaghetti bowl", MP 367, trees on both sides, Intermediate Signals at MP 365.x, a bridge over a road, a highway bridge overhead, detectors at MP 364.1 ("Brighton, NY"), a bridge over a road, East Rochester (MP 363.5), where a wooden depot still exists on the north side, a street to the south, a bridge over a road, crossovers and signal bridges at CP 362 (MP 362.8), a bridge over a road, Fairport (MP 361.2), a grade crossing, MP 360.9, where the speed limit falls to 65-60-50, the freight bypass (former West Shore) line trails in from the west,  MP 360.6 (passenger)/360.4 (freight), where the higher speeds resume, Intermediate Signals at MP 360.x, a grade crossing, and crossovers and signal bridges at CP 359 (MP 359.2), where the line turns east.
