Tulsa to Afton

From the wye on the west side with the line from Enid and Avard, and south of it, Cherokee Yard (MP 426.9) in Tulsa, on the west side of a line heading south out of Tulsa to Sapulpa and beyond, the Afton line, Two Main Tracks, CTC, speed limit 60 mph (but local speed restriction 20 mph), heads just east pf due north, past West Tulsa, the bridge over the Arkansas River, and Frisco, turning east-northeast past Tulsa Union Station, MP 423.3, where the speed restriction increases to 30 mph as far as MP 420.5, the crossovers at Urban (MP 423.0), where an erstwhile M-K-T line once turns away north, an On-Line Rail Services (former Midland Valley) and South Kansas & Oklahoma (former Santa Fe) line head north, a former M-K-T line heads east-southeast, and a former Midland Valley line now run by UP heads south, and East Tulsa (MP 420.4), where the 2MT reduce (MP 420.5) to single track, CTC.

The line turns just north of due east, with a 40 mph speed restriction from MP 420.5 to MP 417.3, past a former wye on the south side with erstwhile industrial trackage, Dawson, a 55 mph speed restriction from MP 417.3 to MP 411.9, Douglas (MP 416.2), a dual-ended spur at Garnett (MP 414.0), and the 7,600 ft. north-side siding at Tiger (MP 412.6), a 45 mph speed restriction from MP 411.9 to MP 408.4 as the line becomes very curvy and then turns north-northeast, past a dragging equipment detector at MP 409.3, Catoosa (MP 409.2), a 55 mph speed restriction from MP 408.4 to MP 405.6, after which full line speeds prevail, and an east-facing spur from the Tulsa Port Authority Port of Catoosa at Port Lead (MP 408.3), northeast past an east-facing spur at Williams (MP 405.1) and the 7,600 ft. south-side siding at Verdigris (MP 404.3), where the line turns north-northeast again.

There is a detector at MP 400.4, Claremore (MP 398.0), the flat crossing (30 mph on the crossing) with the former MoPac/Iron Mountain main line at MP 397.0, the 6,235 ft. north-side siding at DeGroat (MP 396.4), the junction with the 9.6-mile spur on the north side to the Public Service of Oklahoma Oologah power plant at PSO Junction (MP 393.2), a 50 mph speed restriction from MP 392.9 to MP 392.5, a dual-ended spur at Sequoyah (MP 391.6), Foyil, the 7,600 ft. north-side siding at Bushyhead (MP 384.8), a head-end sped restriction of 40 mph from MP 379.6 to MP 378.8, a dual-ended spur at Chelsea (MP 379.1), a 40 mph speed restriction from MP 378.8 to MP 375.8 for the turn to the southeast, past the 10,550 ft. north-side siding at Catale (MP 374.0), a turn back to the northeast, a 45 mph speed restriction from MP 371.3 to MP 369.9 for the turn to the east and back to the north-northeast, past a detector at MP 370.6.

The line turns east-northeast, past the 7,600 ft. north-side siding at White Oak (MP 366.7), where there is an east-facing Coal Spur, northeast with a 45 mph speed restriction from MP 365.7 to MP 364.3, just north of due east and then just south of due east past the siding at Aires (MP 364.2 to MP 362.2), Vinita (MP 359.7) and the flat crossing (30 mph on the crossing) with the former M-K-T main line at MP 359.6, northeast, just north of due east with a 55 mph speed restriction from MP 354.3 to MP 350.8, past the 6,383 ft. north-side siding  at Todd (MP 353.6), and east-northeast past Two Main Tracks resuming at MP 349.7, West Afton (MP 349.5), where a 25 mph speed restriction on Track 1 begins, crossovers (25 mph on the crossover) at Crossover 67 (MP 347.9), and the junction with the line north to Edwards and Fort Scott, at Afton Junction (MP 347.6).
