Matsqui Junction to Cisco

From Matsqui Junction (MP 87.9), where the connection with the CP Mission subdivision trails in from the northwest, the double track, CTC, line heads east, past Matsqui (MP 87.4), Sumas Mountain (MP 86.7), where double track ends, a detector at MP 84.9, Cox where the line comes along the south bank of the Fraser River again, the 6,040 ft. siding at Arnold (MP 76.5), where it leaves the river and the Vancouver, Victoria & Eastern once trailed in from the southwest, the 3,070 ft. siding at Chilliwack (MP 71.8), where the Southern Railway of British Columbia trails in from the south, the 6,930 ft. siding at Rosedale (MP 65.9), where the line turns northeast, and then east when it reaches the south bank of the Fraser River again, turning northeast at Popkin, north-northeast past a detector at MP 58.2, north and then north-northeast past the 6.360 ft siding at Cheam River (MP 54.1), and northeast into the Fraser River Canyon, with the CP across the river all the way, east past the 6,030 ft. siding at Floods (MP 44.0) and Hope (MP 40.2), and north past a detector at MP 39.8 and the 6,050 ft. siding at Trafalgar.

There is a 496 ft. tunnel at MP 35.0, followed by the 6,030 ft. siding at Yale (MP 26.7), and then ultra-scenic Hellís Gate, a narrow stretch of canyon with rapids where there is an aerial tramway carrying sightseers across the canyon, with the railroad line on a narrow ledge, well above the river, past a 2,104 ft. tunnel at MP 26.0, a 1,040 ft. slide fence at MP 23.44, a 399 ft. tunnel at MP 23.2, a 500 ft. slide fence at MP 22.49, a 1,902 ft. tunnel at MP 21.7, a 250 ft. slide fence at MP 21.45, a 150 ft. tunnel at MP 19.7, a 200 ft. tunnel at MP 18.8, the 6,810 ft. siding at Stout (MP 18.3), a 326 ft. tunnel at MP 17.5, a detector at MP 13.8, a 500 ft. tunnel at MP 12.3, a 548 ft. tunnel at MP 11.4, a 600 ft. slide fence at MP 11.24, the 6,040 ft. siding at Komo (MP 10.2), a 277 ft. tunnel at MP 9.2, an 800 ft. tunnel at MP 9.0, a 210 ft. slide fence at MP 8.88, a 330 ft. tunnel at MP 8.7, a 1,025 ft. slide fence at MP 8.51, a 500 ft. tunnel at MP 8.5, a 780 ft. slide fence at MP 8,10, a 602 ft. tunnel at MP 7.2, an 850 ft. slide fence at MP 6.95, a 749 ft. tunnel at MP 5.5, and an 800 ft. slide fence at MP 5.25.

There is a 6,060 ft. siding at Hicks (MP 3.1), Boston Bar West, Boston Bar (MP 0.0/125.5), a short stretch of double track beginning at Boston Bar East (MP 125.3), extending past Bungalow R (MP 124.0) to Martinson (MP 121.5), a 186 ft. tunnel at MP 120.0, a 1,560 ft. slide fence at MP 118.62, the 6,690 ft. siding at Inkitsaph (MP 115.3), a detector at MP 112.0, the 6,410 ft. siding at Falls Creek (MP 110.2), a 60 ft. rock shed at MP 109.4, a 458 ft. tunnel at MP 109.3, a 3,170 ft. slide fence at MP 109.00, a 616 ft. slide fence at MP 107.40, the 6,430 ft. siding at Conrad (MP 105.7, and a connection between the CN and CP lines at MP 104.4. At Cisco (MP 101.0), the railroads exchange sides of the Fraser River, the CP moving to the east side and the CN coming to the west on an arch bridge at a much higher level then the CP, with their bridges almost above one another.
